Had a great stay at this beautiful property. The room, the view, the pool and the grounds were all splendid. The staff, especially Mario, were all very friendly and helpful. It was an easy walk on the beach into town. We hope to stay again in the future, and would highly recommend it especially for those looking for a quiet, romantic getaway.

Jardin Del Mar is absolutely beautiful and relaxing. Even for a short stay I feel restored and at peace after hearing the ocean every night. The grounds are extremely well maintained and the staff are very friendly and helpful. This is my second stay and I look forward to my next!

Personable staff. Mario was there to assist with our late check-in. Would have been better if my Spanish speaking ability was more advanced. Kitchen is well supplied. WIFI is available, TV is not. Walking distance to the La Cruz Sunday market via the beach was a bonus. New high rise construction on both sides was a bit of a detriment. Had a nice stay overall.

Awesome place!

We loved our stay! The Villa is just that. On the beach, wonderful pool, gorgeous rooms and an open air kitchen to use at any time. The beach has loads of shells, with kayaks for your use. Adding paddle boards and snorkel gear would be a wonderful up to date addition. Incredible art and antiques are found everywhere on the property. The safety level is great, we always felt very safe. The proximity to so many towns and beaches can’t be beat. Renting a car is very helpful. You will not regret choosing Villas Jardin!

Jardin del Mar exceeded my expectations. The property is beautifully landscaped with both small and large patios in several areas. The room (Delphin) was clean, well maintained and equipped with all of the basic amenities needed for our stay. First and foremost was the view! The property is right on the beach. We watched whales, porpoises, sea turtles every day! The onsite kayaks were great for excursions out to get a closer look at the whales. The town area is about a 15 minute walk along the beach. There are a number of restaurants with a wide range of foods and prices. Don't miss La Cata in the fish market area or La Balina Blanca for their shrimp tacos! Be advised that at high tide, you may have to climb on the rocks for short intervals to keep your shoes dry. Don't ask how we know that. Mario and Yolanda seemed to appear out of nowhere whenever we had a question. Both were very helpful during our stay. In short, it is a beautiful property and I am making plans to return.

Wonderful accommodations, but need new mattresses

Beautiful grounds and room. Friendly, courteous staff willing to go out of their way to help. My only recommendation is that they buy new mattresses. We stayed in a room with two queen beds, and the mattresses were very hard and uncomfortable.

Beautiful place and very relaxing but unless you have a car it is hard to get around. Can get a taxi or beach walk 20-25 mins to La Cruz but only while tide out. I am a runner and nowhere to run as only 1k to busy highway. Disappointed nobody ever there to greet us - only by chat.

Jardín Del Mar is beyond amazing. Michelle, Mario, and Yolanda make sure you have everything you need the whole time you are there. The property is one of the most beautiful that I have ever seen. The setting is perfect also with the waves right in the backyard. Was so hard to leave this afternoon and already can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful and peaceful stay at Jardin Del Mar! It was so beautifully decorated and tranquil. We were completely immersed by nature with the beautiful gardens, birds, iguanas and ocean. One morning we even saw whales jumping. The sunrises are gorgeous and you can see the turtles swimming and the pelicans catching fish. Walking to La Cruz and Bucerias was along a beach with lots of rocks so make sure you bring good shoes. We clod to walk and are active but we found the walks a bit difficult and only did them a couple times each. Make sure you have an Uber account or the phone number for the local taxis if you want to get into La Cruz or Bucerias at night. We were able to buy lots of fresh fruit at the fruterias in La Cruz so we were set for breakfast daily. The hosts provided coffee as well as basic kitchen supplies. We made our own margaritas daily too! We had great service by Michelle, Mario and Yolanda. We were greeted upon arrival with guacamole and chips. They also made us a delicious chilaquilies breakfast one morning. Muchas gracias! This place is beautiful and magical!

They come in and clean the suite 2 or 3 times a week. We added 2 weeks, and stayed a full month because we like it so much compared to others.

Quaint casa with all the amenities...not one area on the property that hasnt been touched by unique decor. The gardens are beauriful! Hosts were super friendly and we loved our stay!

There aren’t enough stars in the sky to provide an accurate rating for this exceptional experience. From the moment we passed under the pink arch, we fell in love with the magic of Jardin del Mar and our welcoming and attentive hosts, Tomas & Eric. Our casa and shared spaces provided everything we needed for a week in paradise, and we felt like we had returned home after a day exploring La Cruz, Bucerias, PV or dinner at one of the many great area restaurants. Don’t skip the available daily gourmet healthy breakfast option, the perfect way to start your day and connect. Every breakfast, from pesto eggs to my custom blueberry pancake, was thoughtfully planned, prepared fresh and served with joy. The grounds are wonderfully maintained, and you’ll be surrounded with natural beauty and art, stonework and mosaics, flowers, herons, egrets, with stunning views of ocean sunrises and sunsets and iguanas sunning themselves in neighboring palm trees. To add to our experience, the magical atmosphere fostered strong bonds with our hosts and fellow guests from Canada and the U.S., and we shared a glorious New Year’s Eve dinner and celebration together on the top deck overlooking the beach, capped off with a stellar view of PV fireworks at midnight. What a way to start 2020, in the company of such peace, love and beauty and new lifelong friendships. In one exceptional week we became a family. Thank you, Tomas & Eric, for everything. We can’t wait for our next visit!

It is very hard to find a new way to describe Jardin Del Mar's unique and spectacular qualities. We may, however, have one that Eric and Tomas will appreciate: it is the true epitome of a "top drawer" establishment. From the most wonderful hosts, to the welcome guacamole, the incredible artwork, the nooks and crannies to explore, the well appointed kitchens (with QUALITY silverware), the one of a kind suites, the comfortable beds, the quality fragrant shower products and the INCREDIBLE views from throughout the property. Finally, we appreciated lovely Luna, the sweet black Lab, who would stop by for visits. If you are looking for a one of a kind accommodation between La Cruz and Bucerias, we highly recommend Jardin Del Mar and its wonderfully welcoming hosts, Tomas and Eric! Linda and John

Wow! All the reviews are true! Tomas and Eric are the consummate hosts. They are kind and fun and provide a welcoming package of homemade guacamole, chips, tamales and beer! Two sweet host dogs. Delightful gardens and decor in old hacienda style. Wish we could have stayed longer. Would have been nice to have use of a car as well, but enjoyed the bus travel.

A charming small hotel in quiet location north of Puerto Vallarta. Only 6 guest units each with a lot of space, interesting art and decor and fully equipped kitchen. The setting is truly a garden by the sea. You can swim in the pool and just a few feet away take a dip in Banderas Bay. Great location near La Cruz for a loop West and North to Punta Mita, Sayulito, and San Pancho or a short drive to the South for all that Puerto Vallarta has to offer. The hosts; Ty and Alissa are very helpful and can assist you with recommendations for restaurants and activities nearby. Great place for a family/friend gathering. If you rent all 6 units you could accommodate 16-18 people with plenty of common areas for cooking, eating, swimming and socializing.
