The resort overall was excellent. The staff was attentive, and since it was off-season, we never had to wait for service or for beach chairs, etc. The hospitality was very good. We enjoyed our stay, but our room on the second floor left all of our clothes smelling musty. The smell was so strong that we asked the concierge to have someone spray it twice during our four-day stay . They had a vinegar spray prepared to apply on the rugs and other places, which told me that it was a common problem.

the highlight are the waiters for breakfast and Victor from the beach area pool is exceptional with customer service. We had to stay an extra day due to airport closure caused by hurricane Simon. The hotel id not do a good job to help with extra accomodation nd asked us to look for another option.

This is our second time at Marival Distinct. We really like it here. The food and drinks and good, the rooms are wonderful and the staff are amazing. Our son left is backpack in the taxi on the first day arriving at the property. The concierge made several calls on our behalf and was able to retrieve the backpack and all of its belonging for us. She went above and beyond for us! We love that you do not need to make any reservations for dinner at the distinct property, only if you want to eat at the restaurants at emotions. Marival Distinct is very relaxing, it isnā€™t crowded and doesnā€™t have that typical all inclusive fast paced feeling. We will be back again.

Marival Distinct is a beautiful resort. It is very peaceful and relaxing. The food is amazing. The views are breathtaking. All the employees we came across were very friendly and helpful. They all acknowledged us and said hello. We had a great time and will return if we have the opportunity.

Good property and service. But most of the restaurants were only open for 1-2 meals. Some were even closed for any meal. It was off season so I get the reduction of service. But it should be clearly indicated so you know when you make reservations that thereā€™s only 1 or 2 restaurants available per meal and not 5 restaurants. Felt a little mislead.

Food at all restaurants was Amazing! We frequently visit all inclusives and there is sometimes inconsistent food quality but here, every restaurant was outstanding and many staff made it feel special. The only less positive piece was multiple reminders for presentations for the time share and a bit disjointed start to check in when we declined this opportunity. Beach was smooth, which was a big perk as many have pointy rocks that need water shoes, not not here. Overall we'd recommend and come back.

I cannot rave about this resort enough. This was our second summer vacationing there and it is absolutely magnificent. The staff is top notch, you won't find better. I can't say enough about Jesus and Cesar at the main pool, Francisco at the beach pool, and of course Nina in the kids club. She treated my little girl like her own, she was absolutely fabulous. The rooms are beautiful and when we had an issue with ours, they gave us a new room and made it a super smooth transition. The restaurants are fabulous, we are huge fans of Mozzamare, but they are all spectacular. This resort offers a laid back vibe without the typical hustle and bustle/over-the-topness of some of the resorts in the popular beach towns. You can really relax here. We will be returning for years to come.
