“Everything was great however the internet connection was terrible. So if you need to work an hour or two on your stay you have to go to the main hut and hope the starlings performing there as your tent’s wifi is pretty much only gonna let you check emails (maybe). No video conferencing or opening attachments.”

“If you are travelling to Ollantaytambo, you have to stay at The Quechua Lodge. The property is so pretty, the location is wonderful, and it is incredibly relaxing and Zen. It has a cozy, small community feel where you immediately feel at home. Edith and her husband Stijn were absolutely amazing. What really set them apart was how they cared for me when I got sick during my stay. They actually went to the pharmacy themselves to get me medicine and made sure I was looked after until I recovered....

“Great service. Location was wonderful. No heater in the room but had good down blankets on the beds. Older rooms but clean. There are common areas to hang out in with others but a 10p noise rule. Allowed us to fill up water bottles with filtered water. The only con I have would be that the reception person told us that they could not use American credit cards and we had to pay in cash. No problem but would have liked to know in advance to ensure we had enough cash. Would stay again.”

“The place was good and relaxing but it is away from town. No activities in hotel. Good if you want to relax before or after machu pichu. Room is clean and has good views. Breakfast was nice”

“I think this is a typical hotel in this community. You get what you pay for. It felt a little bit like camping with the lack of amenities and cold water, but it’s all apart of the experience. The staff was nice. We saw the same fellow everyday I don’t think he had time off.”

“If you're looking for a great place to chill on a rooftop this place has an amazing hangout area! However the shower barley gets warm and if your visiting in July it is very cold on Ollantaytambo. Other than the hot water it was a fine stay.”
