"I've been going down to Key West for my birthday for close to a decade. I've stayed at a lot of different hotels. They're all generally pretty great. They excel in some things but lack in other things. I think I finally found the PERFECT hotel in Key West! La Concha turned 100 years this year!! But they shut down a few years ago to do renovations and it feels so modern inside! The room is big and spacious and it has everything you need inside. There are multiple restaurants in the building if you don't want to go out. But if you do, you're directly in the middle of Duval Street! This is the best location out of all the hotels I've been to! And there's a ton of parking behind the hotel, a rarity in Key West! I could go on and on about how much I loved it here! I will be returning next May for my next birthday celebration at La Concha! Oh and I need to mention that the staff all over the hotel were an absolute treat! Everyone was so helpful and knowledgeable! "

Havana Cabana at Key West

6/10 Okay

"Havana Cabana could be a 4 or 5 star except for a couple of things. First is there late check out - $75 for an extra two hours. I was able get the concierge to allow it gratis but I had to work for it. Another item was on the last night we found a cockroach and a worm type insect. Nasty. However the staff was helpful and nice to deal with. The bartenders, pool staff, etc. Other the the bugs mentioned the grounds were clean and well kept. However All in all i probably would not stay there again."

Southernmost Beach Resort and Guesthouses

"It was a large and fun property. The roosters will wake you up early! But everything is shut down by 9 pm, so it’s not a problem. Plemty of seating and four different bars. It’s comfortable and casual, but it’s not the kind of place where they are sorting on you necessarily (for the price). But for a long weekend it was great and close enough to a lot of great restaurants."
