“Rooms were great, exceeding expectations considering its location in the countryside and cheap price. However, the owner should not be so aggressive about inconveniences caused by guests. If he thought we were too loud in our rooms, the owner should have simply said so. Barging in to our room without any warning or properly announcing himself(he just opened the door and came in his bathrobes) was unacceptable. Proceeding to then waving/pointing the end of his walking stick at his guests' faces...

“Location was good. Check in process was easy. The beds were comfortable. I don’t prefer to degrade but I also want to be honest though. The room was falling apart. There is obvious water damage. Drywall was falling off walls and ceilings. Several old patches. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling. The bed and bathroom were mostly clean, but the carpet was full of hair and probably hadn’t been cleaned in a while. There were several spider webs on the walls and stains on part of the comforters....

“Our room was freezing with the main heater broken, so they setup a plugin heater which they hadn't turned on before we checked in. The hotel seems to be owned by someone who no longer cares - there was hair in the shower and on the bathroom wall, the fan in the bathroom didn't work, poor heating, moldy pillow, and the food was questionable at best. I wouldn't go back.”

“Great modern rooms installed in a traditional hotel with a nice cosy bar. Tried the 22 year old whisky which was smashing. Staff were awesome as well”

“Hotel was lovely run by a lovely family. Furnishing was very modern and quirky liked the decor in dining room and our bedroom was lovely decorated nice colours and very comfy. There was a great choice at breakfast and presented very well. Lots of smiles and asked if we slept ok. Definitely recommend this hotel and very close to a lovely beach and town centre.”

“Such a beautiful house, and our room was fantastic. We stayed one night and the breakfast was delicious. No problem parking; the grounds were well kept. Jodi welcomed us, and even helped with dinner reservations. I loved the bathrobe touch, and the room was super cute. The price was a bit high, but we only stayed one night, so no discount for multiple nights . We really liked our short stay, and how close it was to walking to a restaurant.”

“Aberlour is a beautiful town. This stay serves it purpose, and the hosts and breakfast were awesome. They were very nice. The location is good, parking on the street, and room was cozy and not large. It may have been a little overpriced for what amenities and room we received, but it was clean and safe and we only stayed one night. We ate at the Mash Tun that night which was great and a great recommendation ”
