Check in and check out were completely remote and extremely easy and convenient. Room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Wifi was fast, water pressure was good, parking easy. They also had a lovely little outdoor area to sit in. I would highly recommend stepping out at night to see the stars - we could see the entire milky way from the parking lot. The only little thing was that the A/C remote was a little hard to use.

Staff was very nice. The room was nice and very clean. And the blueberry muffins at breakfast are no joke—delicious! Will definitely stay again.

The room was super cute - in fact the entire property was super cute. Everything was meticulously picked out and really esthetically pleasing. It was a super quiet hotel- so quiet I felt like we were too loud just existing at times. There are essentially no amenities either. Drip coffee and a water cooler in the lobby are about it. But- ultimately it was a really nice experience. I would rent a room there again.

The owners were great, nice, and very accommodating, the rooms were every clean and quiet, the breakfast in the morning was fantastic. No complaints what so ever.

Every corner, from the butterfly-painted breakfast area to the handmade decor gracing the walkway, reflects the owner Jodi’s care, creativity, and commitment to community and sustainability. Room Seven, with its private hot tub and patio twinkling under string lights, was the perfect blend of comfort and charm. One of the highlights of our stay was waking up to a warm, sunny breakfast room filled with natural light, cozy pillows, and the most unforgettable blueberry muffin I’ve ever tasted. Seriously, as a lifelong foodie and muffin lover, I’m still dreaming about it. The peaceful space, paired with fresh tea or coffee, made it feel like home with a touch of magic. Jodi went above and beyond, even after hours, to make sure we got in safely and had everything we needed. He greeted us the next morning with warmth, conversation, and a sense of hospitality that made us feel instantly welcomed and genuinely cared for. This isn’t just a hotel, it’s an experience. One built on thoughtful design, soulful touches, and authentic connection. If you’re someone who values intentional spaces, meaningful details, and a heartfelt stay, you’ll be so glad you found Desert Flower.

A wonderful boutique experience!

This was our third time staying at the Desert Flower and every time has been special. Each room has a different, thoughtfully curated theme. One of the many highlights is the breakfast and blueberry muffins that they make fresh each morning. The property is convenient, beautiful, and well-maintained. The owners are also very personable and welcoming.

The stay was amazing. Located just outside of Taos proper. You get Taos without the crowds. It has a great view of the mountains.

Aptly named: Desert Flower

Wonderful updated boutique motel. I had the room with the private hot tub and it was wonderful! Very cozy and comfortable room and setting. Hosts are nice, the breakfast (separate charge) was delicious. Close to Taos but out of the main area. Definitely would stay again!

We absolutely loved this hotel on line. There has been a ton of effort put into this hotel. It was very clean. Our room was also very small and lacking some basics like outlets close to the bed. I also am not a fan of contactless check in. I much prefer to meet the locals so they can steer me in the right direction for amazing offerings in the area. A for effort B+ for delivery

Great place to stay!

Jody and family are very dedicated, they treat their guests incredibly. They did wonders with this boutique hotel. The rooms are comfortable and isolate noise quite well. The mattresses are excellent for a good rest. Excellent home made breakfast! The blueberry muffin is the best I had in my life! ubicaciónIt is very well located, very close to Taos and close to the ski valley.

True Gem

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this true gem of a hotel. My room was not only adorable, but it was spotless. The bed was incredibly cozy, and the linens felt luxurious. The location was also ideal. We were able to grab things we needed at the Walmart just a few minutes away and it was about 30-40 min to Skiing at both Sipapu and Taos Ski Valley. The food at the hotel was also absolutely delicious. Our breakfast was thoughtfully prepared, and you could taste the love and attention to detail. My luggage was misplaced by the airline and it was being delivered during a time when we had plans they stepped in to help me facilitate the safe handling and delivery of my luggage. They went above and beyond to help. They truly care about their guests!

This was a wonderful experience!!! Quality amenities, a cozy room, perfect location, and a breakfast to die for!!! Luxury meets tranquility in Taos. This hotel quickly became one of our favorites. It's a unique experience for a solo or couples getaway! With only 7 rooms on the premises it's not too crowded and offers privacy. Hosts are friendly, and have put a lot of care and craftsmanship into this beautiful oasis. They are a great wealth of knowledge for the area!! And did I mention they serve some of the best muffins you will ever have. Breakfast options are delicious and included with your stay there is a good selection of options so if you stay several days , you can work through the menu! Our room was cozy and private, with a good heating for those chilly Taos winter nights. Quality linens and beautiful and unique decor have been chosen for each room. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was spacious with a walk in shower and of course a copper soaking tub! Fridges are in each room with access to a microwave, seating area, and games in the cafe area. This is definitely a must when staying in Taos it's perfectly located close enough but far enough away you don't get caught up in the congestion of downtown.
