"The pool for adults was too small, especially compared to the main pool. It was often infested by noisy kids. Overall, this place is best suited for young families. Those who wish to enjoy quiet and calm enviroment should go somewhere else. Food was average for my liking (mediteranian diet) - including breakfests and a few restaurants."

"I booked Bayview Hotel Langkawi through Hotels.com for my sister, her husband and their daughter. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. The room was booked for three people with three beds, but one mattress was in very poor condition. It was extremely uncomfortable and you could physically feel metal through the mattress. There was also a strong and unpleasant smell from the carpet. My sister contacted reception to report the problems. Instead of properly listening and helping, the receptionist repeatedly interrupted her and kept saying that the room was “good”. She was not treated with the level of respect or professionalism expected from a hotel. My sister also explained that her daughter has asthma and was having difficulty breathing, making the strong smell particularly concerning. This caused her considerable distress because she was worried about her daughter’s wellbeing. After a long and stressful discussion, the hotel eventually changed their room. After the room was changed, the hotel apologised for the issues. While we appreciate that another room was eventually provided and that an apology was given, this does not change the fact that the original room had serious problems or the distress caused before the matter was resolved. I have also reported the matter to Hotels.com and will be seeking an appropriate resolution. Very disappointing experience overall. The hotel needs to improve the condition of its rooms and the way reception staff"

"Beautiful island, great hotel, fantastic restaurant, helpful & friendly staff. I can’t praise this place highly enough. TBH the maintenance is slightly behind the curve (they had to fix the lights and hot water, but did so promptly). But if it was five star perfection the cost would reflect that."

"**A Wonderful Stay at Dayang Bay Resort, Langkawi** We had a fantastic stay at Dayang Bay Resort in Langkawi! While the hotel is a little dated in some areas, the wonderful staff more than made up for it. Everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. We stayed in the **Family Studio Suite, Sea View**, and were very impressed with how spacious it was. The highlight was definitely the amazing view overlooking the bay and the **Maha Tower**. It was absolutely spectacular, especially at night when the tower lights up — such a beautiful sight to enjoy from the room. Overall, we had a very enjoyable and relaxing experience. The combination of the spacious family room, stunning views and genuinely friendly staff made our stay memorable. **I would definitely recommend Dayang Bay Resort to anyone visiting Langkawi, especially if you can get a sea-view room!"
