"We loved the beach, but in June you will have sarcasm. Other beaches on St Thomas remove it every morning. The food on the beach was okay. The condo is real nice. I would recommend new sofa covers and maintenence like replacing loose towel racks and patching walls. The kitchen is fantastic as well as the washer and dryer. They have detergent there for you. Really nice."
"The beach could have a better set up. It’s beautiful but the beach chairs and such are quite old a refresh would draw more outside customers for the beach and bar and restaurant atmosphere. The staff are always amazing we’ve been here a few times and feel welcome by everyone"
"The room was old, run down and smelled old too. Broken tiles and the bathroom door didn’t latch either. The highlight is the location directly on St John’s bay. The beach, available loungers, beach trees and nearby restaurants really make the property."
"Great pool
And beach - towels should be available later on the beach - beach staff was rude sometimes
Loved beach and pool side staff for drinks and food but some days were hard to get their attention. Suggest more staff"
"I would say Bluebeard’s Castle itself is beautiful and has some of the best views on the island. The biggest downside is that St. Thomas has occasional power outages, so the electricity will likely go out at some point during your stay. However, they seem to get it back up and running pretty quickly.
A few things to know before booking: only the rooms have air conditioning; the rest of the property does not. The resort is built on a steep hill and has a lot of stairs, so if you have mobility issues, it may not be the best fit. There are elevators on the pool side for wheelchair access, but you may still encounter stairs depending on where you’re staying. They do offer a golf cart shuttle to take guests from the lower villas up to the lobby, which is helpful.
As for amenities, there aren’t many included. Food is not included, though they do offer complimentary coffee in the mornings. The pool is fairly shallow at about 3.5 feet deep, and there is a small hot tub.
Also, keep in mind that the resort is not located directly on the beach. It’s up on a hill, and the closest beach is about a 15-minute drive away.
My favorite experience was Brewers Bay. It had an incredible amount of sea life without having to drive all the way across the island. We saw sea turtles, stingrays, and lots of tropical fish. Overall, despite a few downsides, we had a wonderful time!"
"The view was beautiful and one of the highlights of our stay. However, the room is in need of upgrades, and the floors appeared muddy and not properly cleaned upon arrival. Better housekeeping and maintenance would greatly improve the overall experience."
