"The building, location, room, staff and spa were all excellent. The only thing I would say is stay away from the bar. I was charged 17€ for one wine one beer and one coffee and not told the prices till after. It was the worst beer and wine I had all weekend. Really not nice at all. For comparison, the price for a wine in the most expensive restaurant I could find was €3. The quality of all local bar wines and beers was excellent. Overall tye place was great and I would definitely go again and recommend it to anyone but I wish I had known about the bar. Rooftop view of the city is incredible and well worth the extra steps to the top floor."

"We enjoyed a three night stay at the Voco. The hotel itself is modern, clean and of a good standard. Staff were friendly and everything seemed fairly new and well maintained. We didn't make use of the breakfast facilities or bar so can't really comment but they looked quite inviting. The room was a good size for two with a spacious, comfortable bed. As a light sleeper I really appreciated how quiet it was. There was no noise from outside the hotel at all. The only down side was the neighbourhood which was really quite sketchy. The main route from the hotel to the old town runs through a district called San Francisco which is should be avoided at night. "

"A nice inviting room and lobby, we had a Guggenheim view room - the only negative to this was the early morning work being done around the corner on the road, but nothing that the hotel could do about this. The team at this hotel was very kind, check in was very easy and it was super walkable to anywhere. The bar did not seem to be open during our time there, so can't comment on that, but plenty of food and drinks around the area. "

"Not as convenient as some other hotels in Bilbao but not terribly out of the way (beware the uphill walk from town!). Breakfast is special - very large selection and many healthy choices, especially for gluten-free. The room was fine, parking was a little tough to get in and out in our suv - but onsite and simple. "
