Only negative was the bed was not very comfortable. (I prefer softer)

“We had a good overnight stay at this Hotel whilst touring around Spain on our motorbikes. The Hotel is beautiful & well located close to Penafiel Castle, Protos & various restaurantes. It has a lovely swimming pool. The Spa was closed when we visited. It also benefits from having its own restaurant and a good bar in an enclosed outside courtyard. You have to pay for parking but at least it is secure. Would happily stay again. ”

“Polite staff, spotlessly clean room and bathroom, comfy bed, the hotel is ideally situated just off the motorway with plenty parking spaces and charging facilities. Bar/restaurants are within walking distance for dinner.
Its an ideal stopover en-route to the ferry ports of Santander or Bilbao. ”
