An excellent choice if you’re looking for a charming, low key motel with a lot of character. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice common room and a lovely porch to sit on to enjoy a morning cup of coffee.
Walking distance to the main strip where you’ll find a nice friendly, local bar.
Very nice comfortable room and very reasonable price, we booked twin beds and were pleasantly surprised to find out that each bed was in a different room so we had lots of space!
The motel is old-fashioned with a large breakfast room, 3 cozy living rooms and chairs outdoors .
They don't serve breakfast but tea, coffee and water are available 24/7 and there are 2 nearby diners , both are good plus a really nice pizza restaurant , all within walking distance.
The owner, Sabina, is so very nice and helpful , we didn't see her this time because she was at their other hotel , The Lake House, but we talked with her and we saw her when we stayed at Lake House in 2024.
The only issue we had was that there wasn't much security, the front door is unlocked, luckily the rooms can be locked , and although Richfield Springs is probably safe, it was unsettling .

There were no amenities . I didn't bring my hair dryer or iron my clothes. Because most places have these. No microwaves or mini fridge . Coffee maker in lounge area . Tiny bottle of shampoo and bar of soap . Place is very dated not very clean and overpriced for what you get . But the lady at front desk was very friendly and took us right to our room . This place could be a beautiful hotel if the right people up kept it . It's resting on its laurels . I wouldn't return .
Went for a baseball tournament, place is clean and quiet. Had a nice stay

The first impression was very poor based on the condition of the outside of the building. It could definitely use some repair work, cleaning, and fresh paint. However, we walked in and the owner was waiting to check us in, give us our room key, and show us to our room. Our family of 5 had a room with 3 queen beds, which was nice. The room was clean and the bathroom was well stocked. However, the 3 beds consumed almost the entire room with very little space for our luggage or even to walk around. A couple luggage racks would’ve been helpful. For being named The Baseball Hotel, we expected some baseball themed decor, but there was none. A small coffee cart was the only amenity. We never saw any hotel staff again and just left our key in a drop box when we left the next morning. Easy drive from here to Cooperstown.
Unique location with a quiet, vintage vibe. Walls are thin and could be loud with a number of people other staying, but i had a delightfully quiet stay. Will stay again.
The staff was very accommadating, the room was nice and clean, and everyone seemed to be very friendly. We would not mind staying there again next year.
Beds were super comfortable and the room just got a fireplace. Great location and easy to get to. Large park a block from hotel with antique gazebo. A great stay in Richfield Springs.
Did not have to worry about whether there would be someone to let us in when we arrived late. Concise instructions were sent via text so we checked in and out with ease.

A satisfying stay
it was an old hotel and the likes we have never stayed in because of its age. But it had a unique charm to it, The room was fine and the beds comfortable. The hotels in the Cooperstown area are priced very high this time of year and staying here saved us money and gave us what we needed, It was also nearby for any places we wanted to go to, We would stay here again.
After a long drive we were able to relax at a Hotel that was able to accommodate our dog. The property was immaculately clean and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. Very reasonable priced especially with a pet. Everything was as expected and would definitely stay here again.
The room is exceptionally clean and smells fresh and the fire in the fireplace was setting a glow off in the whole dining room. Everything was very walkable to all that is in Richfield Springs. Hotel is centrally located and located close by multiple cut shops, good food and a beautiful park, Definitely recommend.

No-frills hotel
Funky old place, but clean and pretty quiet. Mostly a no-frills place, but location is good to Cooperstown and Glimmerglass. TV is all streamed, so the wi-fi was great.
We were asked to go instead to the ”Lakehouse” Very Unique, nostalgic property. Room itself was very small and outdated but was okay. Restaurant on property was good. Nice staff and very accommodating.
We had a really nice room with a new fire[lace set up for gas heat. Location was perfect and easy to find, many attractions in town with a beautiful park in the center. The manager was very friendly and helpful, carried our bags and gave us directions to the restraints, The beds were comfortable and every thing was really clean. .

The hotel texted and turned on the ac before we arrived . They brought us to our room personally too… The hotel is a very old hotel but clean ..The staff was friendly and directed us to a great place to eat dinner with music …
Property upgrade with gas fireplaces in the building and some rooms, very nice touch and beautiful surrounding glow of radiant heat. Needed extra pillow and it was there in 5 minutes. Check in went well, it was very easy. We would stay again.
Front desk staff was great and very helpful finding us a restaurant nearby they thought we would like. Room was very clean and super fast internet was great for streaming. The woman doing the checking in grabbed our bags and carried them straight to our room nobody does that anymore! Great room for us, No Complaints whatsoever.
We were pleased with the hotel room, only a short distance to Cooperstown. The room was very comfortable and clean. The woman who checked us in carried all our luggage to our room without hesitation. The room was a little small but very cozy. Plenty of towels and blankets provided and the bathroom was very clean. We were very comfortable and they had everything we needed. 5 stars all the way.
