"In fairness before I booked i knew it was 23 miles away from the center but didnt think it was that far...because of the winding roads ir takes about 30 to 35 mins each way to the center of town and the hotel doesnt have a shuttle service. Taxi driver from the airport became my driver the entire time there so it worked out! Staff was super friendly and the restaurant ( Bajo Banana) had some amazing sunsets and good food. "Felt more like a resort than a hotel. Great facilities and staff. Stayed here for two nights and would do so again. Grocery store in the basement, fried chicken place in the lobby, and restaurant and pool bar in the hotel were all great to have nearby."

"Really amazing property! Gorgeous and the staff are so attentive and helpful. The jetty was so perfect for Sunny days - can jump into the water and it’s perfect. There’s a bar at the end that will keep you hydrated. Every spot in the hotel was ideal for watching the sunset. Amenities were great, the only reason for 4 stars is that so many of them were behind a “paywall.” When you’re paying this much per night, you would hope that snorkel gear is provided free of charge at the least! With that said, they had a nice yoga/stretching class for free and a well maintained gym."

"If you are considering booking this property - DO IT. Do not hesitate. We had an AMAZING experience. The property is so beautiful, the pictures do not do it justice. The staff is so kind and helpful. The pool is relaxing. The views are unbeatable. They have an amazing spa where you can book massages and other treatments - we highly recommend the anti-aging facial and massages. If you can upgrade to one of the rooms with an outdoor, private shower, do it, it was so unique and cool. The only thing we weren’t impressed with is the dinner, it was pricey and not that good. But overall the experience was one of a kind and love that no kids are allowed. Thank you to all the staff and crew at Menjaga Bay!"

"My second stay at the Meruorah, and just as good as the first. I had a sea view room this time, it’s well worth the upgrade, the view is beautiful although the boats can get a little noisy. The rooms are spacious and nicely furnished, the staff are very friendly and the included buffet breakfast caters for everyone, so much to choose from. I would definitely recommend staying here, I hope I will return again some day."

"It would have been great had the room been ready upon our arrival. (We were early but expected by the hotel.) Unfortunately I picked up some 'bug' and was running hot. That was compounded by having to wait in the heat for our room. By the time the room was ready, my fever combined with the heat and high humidity resulted in a minor medical emergency for me. The staff were fantastic, and got me to my room where I immediately cooled down and became coherent again. This was absolutely NOT the fault of the hotel, and every worker attended to my needs to ensure I was okay. So kudos to them. However, had the room been ready, this could have been avoided. It was my fault for not recognizing what was happening to me, and then pushing for the room earlier. I'm sure they would have accommodated me, had they known. Once again, the staff were very professional in a situation I (and likely they) had never before experienced. :)"
