First time in Rio.

Very convenient and affordable property! Right on Copacabana Beach! My room was decent probably because it was one of the rooms with a balcony facing the beach and cost a little more. The location is unbeatable when comes to the beach and getting around Rio by Uber to the Main attractions. The breakfast was good with a variety of buffet options. The front desk and concierge were very helpful particularly Jorge on the night shift. I would definitely stay again, but only in the more expensive rooms.

Avoid This Hotel at All Costs

The worst hotel experience I’ve ever had in my life. Despite its privileged location, right on Copacabana beach, this hotel was an absolute nightmare. Filthy beyond words. The room floor was stained, especially near the bed, and the bathroom shower looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages. The photos speak for themselves. The entire structure is old, ugly, and poorly maintained. The room had a bad smell, the furniture was worn out, and the overall atmosphere was extremely uncomfortable. To make things worse, the front desk staff were completely unprepared, unprofessional, and lacked any sense of hospitality. The people staying at the hotel made me feel uneasy and unsafe. I had booked a full week, but I could only endure one night before checking out. Do not recommend it under any circumstance. Not even for a night. Just because it’s located on the Copacabana beachfront doesn’t mean it’s worth it. Don’t fall for the location trap. That said, Brazil is a beautiful country, and after switching to another hotel, my stay turned into an amazing experience. The new hotel was clean, welcoming, and well-managed, the way hospitality should be. From there on, everything about my trip was absolutely wonderful. 🌞🇧🇷

The hotel looks much nicer in the photos than in person. The staff was not friendly, and the facilities feel old; several outlets didn’t work, and the room was dirty when we arrived. The shower doesn’t provide truly hot or truly cold water—just “lukewarm.” On the positive side, the breakfast was good and quite varied. Overall, the experience was just ok.

I tried to make reservation at their restaurant. The restaurant staff did not understand English or the word reservation. Told me to come to the restaurant at 8pm and unexpectedly told me I had to make a reservation and it is fully booked. My daughter, husband and I had to source other foods during New Year's Eve and the only place close is the walk-in ACAI dessert bar and this is our dinner.

Hotel is neglected, no personnel cleaning the public areas.. Pool area was full of garbage from the night of New years (I left on January 3rd, so the garbage was there for 2 entire days). Not even the pool was clean, water dirty and cloudy; again no staff attending this issue. New years is big in Rio ad for that reason hotel should be at it’s highest standard. At least clean.
