The hotel is just a block away from the metro and and a couple of blocks from the beach. There's heaps of food options nearby and it's easier to get anywhere in the city from it. Staff was a joy, rooms are standard Ibis rooms which are consistently good anywhere in the world. I would definitely recommend to stay at the hotel if you are coming to Rio.

The staff had a room ready for me when I arrived We cannot expect this everytime but in my room was a bottle of champagne. 2 champagne glasses. An expensive chocolate. 2 bottles of water. I really felt like a VIP. I will definitely be staying there for all my trips to Rio and Brazil

I’ve stayed at this hotel several times over the years. Its location is great and the staff friendly. This time, the reception and housekeeping staff were excellent as usual. I feel though the hotel is showing a little wear and tear and could do with some refurbishment. The elevators keys didn’t work, sometimes out of action. Bathrooms in the rooms are old and there are cracks in the paint or plasterwork. The rooms also have very old TVs which aren’t capable of being linked up To social media apps or phones - I would expect a Smart TV in a hotel in 2025 to be able to link up my social media and entertainment apps. It’s a great hotel though, great location and the staff super. I’ll come back.
