Be wary of later arrivals!

The most ridiculous (non) check in experience I have ever had. Numerous attempts to convey I would arrive later in the evening and for them to make arrangements. They said yes. I arrived @ 22:05, and it was like Marie Celeste, the lights were on, door open, but no-one there. Eventually I found an English couple staying at the hotel, who helped me get a key for an unoccupied room, so I didn’t have to sleep in a chair in reception. I also cut my foot stepping on a piece of glass on the floor in my room. On the positive the gardens are nice, the building is quite pleasant, though lots of steps!!, and the pool was very nice.

The person at the front desk goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and is available at all times. The attentive staff ensures that every need is met promptly and with a smile. This small, quaint hotel has the charm of staying in a museum, with beautifully decorated art rooms, fascinating artifacts, and stunning architecture. The atmosphere is relaxing and unhurried, allowing guests to fully unwind and enjoy their stay. One of the highlights of our visit was the breathtaking views from the rooftop, where you can soak in the beauty of Rio de Janeiro. We were also delighted to see monkeys from our porch, adding a unique touch to our experience. Special mention to Kadosh, one of the exceptional employees, who is incredibly attentive and prepares the best breakfast we’ve ever had. Service was outstanding, owners, manager, everyone was very helpful. The hotel is beautiful, chic and stylish.... A place to relax after visiting Rio. Breakfast was special not only because of the place and the view it has where it was served, but because it was prepared to the detail. I hope to go back soon.

Les Jardins is a charming place with beautiful gardens and quiet despite being in Rio! However, it is isolated in streets that are not safe at night; all travel to and from has to be done by Uber.I Only breakfast is provided; all other food has to be ordered online and delivered, although the staff are willing to do the ordering. Breakfast is also served very late - not till 9am. And the room was not cleaned during my stay - apparently I had to ask for this. It was billed as a 4 star hotel but I would say it id more of a stylish pension/b&b. I was the only person staying there.

Couldn't even get in!!!!

We arrived at the hotel shortly after 8pm in a mega rain storm..... and we couldn't get in. We buzzed, we yelled and knocked, we called 3 times, and there was no one to recieve us. We stood there for almost 30 mins, in a downpour, in front of the door, and it was terrible. We paid over 100usd and I am livid! We have called more than a dozen times and no answer. I am demanding a refund, and a way for the hotel to make this terrible experience correct.

Magnifique et atypique endroit où nous avons été reçu avec soin et convivialité. Tous les bons conseils et adresses partagés par Dany furent excellents. La deco et les chambres sont sublimes . La chambre aurait mérité un ménage régulier lors de notre séjour ainsi qu’un réfrigérateur rempli d eau plus souvent. Mais l expérience reste inoubliable.

Se preparem para uma experiência única no Rio de Janeiro. O hotel é muito intimista, praticamente dentro da mata e com uma vista privilegiada do Cristo. Os funcionários são incríveis. Quero destacar o Kadosh e a Taisa pela atenção deade a reserva ao check-out. A fundadora Dany, a artista plástica francesa que trouxe um ar exclusivo em cada detalhe, tem uma energia que consegue erradiar em cada detalhe e ambiente. Eu escolhi o quarto rosa... gigabte, aconchegante, acolhedor. Obrigado por essa experiência!

Experiência singular

Fui pro show da Lady Gaga e estava buscando apenas uma estadia confortável, mesmo que longe da praia. O Les Jardins foi um achado porque não tive a experiência de um hotel convencional. Em vez disso o espaço me proporcionou uma outra experiência do Rio de Janeiro, diferente daquela que vemos na TV, de festas e praia. É uma experiência voltada pro Rio da Mata Atlântica, com sua fauna e flora exuberantes, da arquitetura, da literatura e das artes. No Cosme Velho pude sentir outro ritmo da cidade, imaginar como ali viveram pessoas que fizeram história, como Machado de Assis. A proprietária do local é artista, de forma que suas obras se encontram expostas no local, o que me deu insights valiosos sobre como o Rio é uma cidade que inspira. Do rooftop do hotel, a vista pro Cristo Redentor. O Rio é definitivamente singular. Acordar cedo, com o barulho dos pássaros e fazer yoga com essa vista foi gratificante. Pra quem respira arte e busca por um refúgio, esse é o local. Sobre o atendimento só tenho agradecer a todos da equipe, da cozinha, pelas conversas, pelo café da manhã. E um dos grandes pontos da estadia, tão afetuoso quanto o próprio lugar foi ter a oportunidade de ser atendida e conversar com o Kadosh. GRATA SURPRESA

O hotel é maravilhoso e as instalações são muito melhores do que as fotos! Ficamos no quarto laranja, que é muito espaçoso, tem uma banheira enorme. Os funcionários são muito simpáticos e as áreas comuns são bem conservadas e agradáveis. Com certeza voltaríamos!

O hotel me surpreendeu positivamente, quarto amplo , confortável excelente para relaxar . O funcionário foi super atencioso , a proprietária do espaco foi muito simpática . Excelete opção de vinho, local com obras de arte , e decoração de bom gosto . Com certeza voltaremos .

Falta segurança, equipe e manutenção

Reservei o hotel pelo site para uma comemoração romântica de casal. Chegando ao hotel, não era nada do que havíamos contratado. Dentre os detalhes (descarga que não tinha vazão de água suficiente, porta completamente solta do closet, falta de cortinas do tipo blackout em quarto com portas de vidro, ar condicionado que não dava conta do espaço), o que mais nos preocupou foi uma porta que ficava aberta para a área externa do hotel. Era para ser um jardim privativo que dava para a porta de vidro do banheiro, porém a porta desse jardim ficava aberta. Além de não me sentir confortável em tomar banho com uma porta aberta, não seria seguro dormir com ela destrancada, uma vez que qualquer pessoa poderia ter acesso ao quarto passando pelo jardim e entrando pela porta do banheiro (que estava com um amassadinho e não travava). Descemos e conversamos com o único funcionário que estava no local e ele apenas lamentou e não se dispôs a nos ajudar. Sugeriu que dormíssemos assim e conversassemos com o gerente no dia seguinte. Optamos por não ficar no local e tentamos fazer um acordo sobre o cancelamento, mas o funcionário repetiu que ele não era o responsável por essa parte e reforçou que deveríamos ligar no hotel no dia seguinte. Não houve solução para nenhuma de nossas solicitações. Me senti lesada. Não recomendo.

Bela paisagem com jardim bem cuidado.

Hotel com casa muito linda. Quarto espaçoso com banheira que tem um jardim para se admirar. Café da manhã bom sendo um ótimo lugar para descansar e esquecer da vida.
