"This is not your typical hotel stay, so when I say everything was well maintained, service was good, etc, it accounts for the fact it is a very old home with some original or era appropriate things (such as old doornobs which my daughter commented on), and that it is a true B&B so it is their home and they have lives and it is not a standard hotel setting (they had a hair dryer, just not in every bathroom). When I arrived I called them as instructed as they were out, and they came back over in about 5 minutes to check us in, they answered all my questions. Everything was clean, they were available for any questions, breakfast service in the morning was good, it is a lovely home that was a great little reprieve from standard hotels on our cross country trip."
"Great place to stay but you have to get your keys from down the street. Just pay attention to that. Fun place to be in downtown Nauvoo. Also you park in the rear of the property or on the street. That wasn’t clear in the booking."
"This hotel is very nice. Great staff, good breakfast and close to everything we were doing in Burlington. We've stayed here before. I would definitely stay again."
"This cozy Inn was fun to stay in. It's got a grandmas cottage type feel. It's not as sterile as some other hotels are. The rooms are large. We had a 2 queen with twin bunk room with ample space. Air-conditioning was great. Downside is the temperature in the shower can suddenly change from warm to cold. Like when a toilet flushes or someone turns on a sink. There doesn't apear to be a temperature regulator. Walls were a little thin. We had some noisey neighbors.
The halls were lined with artwork that you could purchase.
The pool was good, although a little heavy on the chlorine, our eyes were burning just sitting in there. Plenty of towels available.
Staff was very friendly! Breakfast was excellent."
"We stayed here overnight for 4th weekend. The property was very clean, staff was kind and welcoming. We have a dog and there are two places for restroom with doggie bags and a trash can! They even give you a door tag to let the cleaners know you have a dog. We also got welcome and departure water bottles, which was amazing after and before a day of travel. The hotel is attached to the casino and you can stay within the building to access it. We went for an hour or so and had a nice time! It was a fun feature to have for a quick overnight stay without having to leave the property. Breakfast was kinda lackluster but standard. Room was very clean and AC worked well for a VERY humid day. Would definitely stay here again on our next trip!"
