“We did not plan ahead and needed a place to stay on the 4th of July. This gem of a propert had a room open at a decent price! The front desk staff had no customer service skills or information on the breakfast offered or pool. We were able to see the fireworks from our room which was a great suprise. The breakfast was horrible very few options and messy.”

“Clean, renovated room. Good breakfast. Very nice overnight stay. Front desk staff was very friendly and professional. Only issue was the old electrical outlets in the room that were loose and would not grip/hold the plug when you plug something in (like phone charger.) Phone charger would simply just fall back out of the outlet after you plug it in. These outlets should be addressed as soon as practicable. Other than that, very enjoyable stay. ”

“A quaint hotel in a quaint, quiet town. Great service and a very comfortable room and environment, including a large shared meal space upstairs in the room area for coffee/food storage and socializing. The room was very nice and included a sitting area and all the amenities needed for a nice stay.”

“Great room at a great price. Reception was very warm and friendly; the room was like new after a total restoration. Would have preferred a walk-in shower, but the tub was new and had a curved shower curtain rod for greater space. Parking was convenient and we would go out of our way to stay again. A definite 9 out of 10. ”

“유럽풍의 고전적인 정취를 만끽할 수 있는 아주 소규모의 호텔임. 결코 흔치 않은 경험을 한 기회였음. 종업원 서비스 및 식당식사에 이르기까지 최고급 호텔이라는 인상을 갖기에 충분하였음. 그러나 한국인으로서는 무척 당혹스런 숙박경험이기도 하였음. 첫째, 지은 지 대단히 오랜된 건물로서 윗층에서의 발걸음 같은 작은 소음까지 들려 짜증스러웠음. 둘째, 필요 이상의 공간을 지녀 활용하는 데 오히려 불편이 컸음. 셋째, 호텔이 소재한 유리카 타운 자체가 전혀 매력이 가지 않는 살벌하기까지 한 분위기였기 때문에 '고풍스럽고 고급스런 호텔'의 격과 어울리지 않는다는 느낌. 전체적으로, 한국여행객들에게는 추천하고 싶지 않은 경우임.”

“We loved our time at the Gingerbread mansion. Oliva was an amazing host. Breakfast prepared each day was some of the best we have had. Snacks provided at tea time each day were also a big perk. The mansion was such a cozy experience. We loved our time spent at the mansion as well as exploring the town of Ferndale. Hiking and exploring the town made our time there very memorable. I fear future B&Bs may be ruined for me as this was my first time experiencing a true B&B experience and any future...

“flight got bumped to the next day so i stayed here. it was clean and nice. pool for the kids.”

“Fun little motel. Our room was a good size. Huge bathroom. There was even a kitchenette with fridge, hand sink, and microwave. We had the bottom floor. Not the motels fault but the family with 2 children above us were so loud that i had to let them know. Dad apologized and we were just fine after that. Btw i waited until 11pm. Small parking lot but never had a problem getting one. Just a few blocks from old downtown and harbor.”

“Perfect stay in walking distance to the cozy centre of Ferndale. Our host Uffe was so nice and he is Dane like us, so we we had some good talk. The apartment was very cozy and decorated in Danish old traditional style. When we woke up in the morning there was Elks in the garten which was more a pleasure for us than for Uffe and his Wife. We will give this cute and quit place our hugest recommendations.”
