"The hotel location is good but it is basic and old unfortunately at the time we were there, construction workers are all along las ramblas, it was dusty, noise. The taxi couldn’t leave us or pick up outside the hotel. The room was clean but without view and a small window/ ventilation towards a small and dusty lightwell. I don’t recommend the hotel:( "

"I am a loyal client of Expedia for over 29 years and I found this experience with Sehrs Hotel Barcelona the worst one!!!! We booked a night on February 15th and checked out the next day. On February 26 , before we checked out , morning around 9:30, we stepped out to buy some breakfast across the street. We were gone for 45 minutes. We went back to the hotel around 10:15 and headed back the room . Check out time should be 11 am.To our surprise, our belongings are gone and we found 2 men doing some renovations in our room. We went to the receptionist . They explained that they needed to remove our belongings since they have to do some work in the room. No one communicated to us ahead of time about the room renovation. This is unacceptable!!!! This is an absolute violation of our privacy!!!! They touched my belongings without our permission!!!We were not notified about this ahead of time. Who in the right mind will decide to remove hotel guest belongings still residing in the room until check out time. I have all the right to be upset!!! No one got back to me to explain up to this day!!!! I need the manager to reach out to me. I will report to Business Bureau!!! "

"I was fortunate enough to stay at this absolutely beautiful hotel in a lovely historic district for my 50th birthday for nearly 3 weeks. The entire staff from the front desk, the cleaning crew(s) to the absolutely lovely individuals who run the Circle bar and restaurant couldn't have been more pleasant or accommodating. Although I was happy enough just to speak with them in Spanish they would always gladly respond in English if there was something I didn't quite understand. Every time I travel anywhere I try not to speak my native tongue intentionally and they were always pleasant enough to correct my pronunciation and even teach me new words. There is a fabulous espresso machine by the front desk where you can get high as a kite on caffeine first thing in the morning before beginning extravagant walks through the mind blowing historicity of the city that is Barcelona. The Gotić quarter can be quite loud sometimes in the evenings and even very early mornings but I'm from New Orleans so it felt like home. The rooms are quite quiet in general and I could never hear my neighboring hotel guests. Merely only hearing the shouting once in a while from wiley Southern Spaniards and Italian tourists. To me everything in the city seemed walking distance but there are subway stations everywhere that can take you anywhere you'd like in minutes. There are taxis and Ubers that are convenient as well but I didn't use them. I cannot recommend the establishment enough! 20 out of 10! "

"We had a fantastic stay! The location is truly unbeatable, and the staff elevated the entire experience. Every team member we interacted with was genuinely warm, welcoming, and eager to help. We always felt well taken care of. The hotel’s location could not have been better. We initially had a small challenge finding it (user error on our part!), but once we arrived, we realized how perfectly situated it was. Everything we wanted to see and do was within easy walking distance, and most major attractions were just 30–40 minutes away on foot. It made exploring the city effortless and enjoyable. Our room was impressively spacious and thoughtfully designed, with modern amenities that made it a comfortable retreat after long days of sightseeing. The neighborhood comes alive at night (FYI) since many visitors (and probably locals as well) are night owls, but it never bothered us. Simply closing the balcony doors created a calm, quiet space for restful sleep. Overall, the combination of an outstanding location and exceptional staff made this a memorable stay. We would gladly return and highly recommend it to others."
