"We had a lovely stay at Granbell Hotel Colombo. It closed out our two week stay in Sri Lanka, and was one of our highlights. The hotel itself is modern, comfortable and well located. My only complaint is that the menu prices exclude VAT, and you are unaware of this until you receive your first bill! It means that the hotel is unfortunately very unreasonable for food and drink for Sri Lanka - but there are plenty of eating options in Colombo."
