“The first thing we noticed when entering the hotel was the smell. Not sure if it was mold, old smoke, or just general oldness, but it smelled musty. It was extremely dated and the casing around our bathroom door was rusty. The walls are thin; we could hear children laughing in the room next to ours. Not unpleasant, but we didn't want to hear the neighbours. The pool was rough-surfaced and my son scraped himself on the side of it. The staff and the breakfast were good.”

“We travel to the area at least once a year and are always looking for a good hotel. While this place was fine, we would not return. It's dated, and the staff were not super friendly. We also did not appreciate that smoking was allowed on the patio just outside the rooms. While we understand this is legal per Michigan law, it's not pleasant at all for non-smokers to walk through a cloud of cigarette smoke to get to their room and then have it drift in with them. The breakfast in the morning...
