This is the Royal Gorge Bridge which is the world's highest suspension bridge. It is 1053 Ft. above the Arkansas River. Mountains are in the background with red rock below the bridge.

This spectaclar pedestrian bridge is suspended 1250 feet above the Arkansas River. Ride the tram across and take the zipline back -- it was my first time ziplining! Finally, a zipline worth your time! We also did the swing, and I have video of me screaming on facebook to prove it's nuuuuts!

The Royal Gorge Bridge is the highest suspension bridge in America and the second highest in the world. Standing nearly 1,000 feet from the bottom of the gorge, it offers spectacular views of the surrounding area. The wildfires of 2014 destroyed most of the surrounding structures but the bridge survived with only minor damage. Their grand reopening will be in the spring of 2015.

The bridge crosses the gorge 955 feet (291 m) above the Arkansas River and held the record of highest bridge in the world from 1929 until 2001.
