"This trip was organised for my mother 70's birthday and it was such a big disappointment. The receptionist couldn't find our booking info and claimed that they didn't receive anything from Hotel.com. Unfriendly behavior when trying to ask for help to find restaurant nearby. The room, sheets and towels were not clean. Breakfast was included but not clean either, so we did skip it. This was big waste of time and money. "We stayed here for one night after arriving earlier in Cherbourg. The property was easily found using a sat nav. The owner, Roger, was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and comfortable with refreshments available. Having asked prior to our arrival, we had a fantastic 3 course evening meal expertly prepared and presented by his young chef Brenda. Breakfast in the morning was a continental offering with the option of freshly cooked bacon and scrambled eggs. Everything was spot on....
