Secreted away in back of Carrefour carpark. Convenient Buffalo Grill hidden down alley way at back. Not glamorous but comfortable. Bus trip to st Malo Intra muros

Arrived after a long drive though France experiencing poor driving conditions- a lady (I think by name of Katherine) checked us in with great humour - she spoke english to us but we had to reply in french. Check-in super and a safe arrival drink poured without delay. I love staying here.

Fantastic hotel in quiet location.

Fantastic hotel in a quiet location, staff extremely helpful and available 24/7. Reception area very comfortable with plenty of seating and child friendly area. All areas of the hotel are very clean and pleasant. Plenty of free car parking and close to places to eat and a large supermarket for food and fuel. The bedroom was immaculate and well furnished with very comfortable king-size bed with TV, kettle and coffee and tea provided. Excellent shower with spotless towels and shampoo etc. Breakfast was very substantial with a good selection of cooked eggs, bacon and sausage plus cold meat and cheeses, fresh fruit, cereal and several different breads and croissants. Very good coffee and fruit juices. Would recommend as an overnight stop or a longer stay for a holiday in the Saint Malo area with lots of interesting places to go.

France Road Trip (2025)

Before I write this review it's all about perspective... I wanted to stay in Saint Malo but it's fair to say this is not in Saint Malo centre. It's on more of an industrial estate / shopping centre around 30 minutes by bus from the Saint Malo Train Station (Gare) or the Port with access to the Citadel. (This is reflective in the cost based on the location) I have rated this hotel average as it's a little dated and needs a refresh. Breakfast Buffet was adequate and pretty normal for an IBIS hotel. Transport, bus's run from a stop across the large carpark, and if travelling into the centre this cost needs to be factored. Returning to the hotel by bus can be a little more restrictive in terms of time of last bus and frequency. Wi-Fi as with each IBIS I visited in this trip worked well as part of the Accor Group. I generally define hotels by stating if I would choose this hotel again and the answer is NO in this case. As I was there only 2 nights I would pick somewhere closer to the Port or the Citadel. City Tax is paid locally at the hotel and is taken upon Check-In. The hotel does have a lift between floors and a luggage trolly was available in reception for moving bags between car and room. (Handy if on a Road Trip).

Handy for the port

We always stay here when we are travelling to/from St Malo. The hotel is near the dock so very handy, always clean, the room is small but sufficient. Would like a kellte in the room so a hot drink could be made.

Great Stay

Very comfortable and clean room. Lady on reception was extremely friendly and very helpful. Hotel only a short drive to the ferry terminal too. Will stay again next time in St Malo.
