The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel was reasonably priced. It’s not a terribly central location, especially during a transit strike. The sink in our room was clogged and the room was very warm with no way to adjust the temperature aside from opening the windows. The street was busy, so that made for a noisy night. Even though we placed towels to be replaced, they were not. The hallway outside our room also had a foul smell, almost like sulfur or sewage. Staff were pleasant and for a short stay, Hôtel St. Denis was adequate.

I would this hotel a 4 star not 5! It was generally goof. The room size was fine. The furniture was okay too. Some of the furniture could be upgraded but no issues. One thing is the outside noise is easily getting to hotel. So, don't think it would be a good idea to stay there in tbe Summer. The staff were nice and kind but the room service was really slow and needed training. One last thing, the hotel does not provide mouth wash, first time in my experience. Other than that good hotel, but 4 stars.

The hotel is located in central Old Montreal across from the Cathedral. The area has a nice European city feel. We were in a superior room: contemporary furnishings, massive shower and bathroom; excellent mattress with exceptional value compared to other (chain) hotels. Both restaurants in Place d'Armes are very good. (New) Montreal is 1-2 km away with even more restaurants and shopping areas.

The staff was incredibly pleasant and helpful, the suite was massive and the sleep was peaceful. Can't ask for much more than that.

Location was excellent. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay there again.
