"A very comfortable quiet and relaxed hotel ( originally an old convent) overlooking Salo and Lake Garda. The staff at the hotel are superb - the reception staff in particular are some of the best anywhere. The views from the garden and terrace across the lake to the mountains are beautiful. A good pool with lots of loungers and outside seating make this a great place to relax away from the crowds around the lake ,but only a 10 min drive away. "The hotel is a lovely location within short walk from downtown and to the beautiful walkway along the lake. The room and bathroom were modern and spotless. Breakfast was adequate. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Alex who helped to resolve a booking issue in a kind and efficient manner. The garden and pool are superbly well maintained. "This is the 4th time I have stayed at Hotel Duomo. It is in an excellent position right on the edge of the lake. It is a small hotel which suits me and it is only 5 minutes walk from the cafe bars, restaurants & shops. The ferry is only a couple of minutes walk away too. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean with friendly staff who always take the time to speak to you & say good morning in Italian. We opt for a room at the back of the hotel but it is spacious enough for our needs."
