"There was some kind of event in town and the rate on my Marriott room jumped to almost $1000 a night. I needed one more night so I checked Hotels.com and found Hiltop. The rates were great. I read that the area is kind of sketchy and I found that to be true, but parking is inside the wrought iron perimeter gate so that offered some peace of mind. The lobby is nice and the staff was helpful. Parking was tight but manageable. My room was clean but there was a slightly musty smell. Most importantly (and surprisingly), I had a quiet night. Not sure I would ever stay here again, but it was a decent option in a pinch."
