Very nice location and the service provided by the host. We stayed in Costa Rica for 10 days and at 4 different hotels. This was the best stay for us. We had a long trip getting to the hotel with flight cancellation but staying at the hotel made the trip smooth from that point onward.

The moment the door of the property opened, I felt like I am looking at a slice of paradise, compared to the views I got on the drive from airport to the property. The room I stayed in is tastefully decorated, with a deck that sees a very good angle of the cloud shrouded mountain. The hosts are so flexible. The breakfast was simple but delicious, with good quality plates and utensils. Compared to the United States, my stay here felt like staying at a 4.5 star resort but paying for a 3-star in the United States.

Unique lodging, with main lodge and several residences set on a large sloping property with beautiful gardens and an exception view of the valley below. Gated and private. Our lodging was a standalone home with an open floor plan, set in the midst of the gardens, windows looking over the valley (floor to ceiling), hot tub, and kitchen. Very private. The hosts (Ken and Alexandra) are very welcoming and knowledgeable of the surrounding area. One of the nicest places we have ever stayed! Great breakfast.

It's a wonderful place to relax and enjoy nature. Ken & Alejandra are very kind and nice. The Resort is well maintained, absolutely no complains, for me and my wife it was the best place to stay in Costa Rica if you love nature but also wants amenities. Keep in mind that a car is highly recommended as is a little bit far from nearest town.

Absolutely stunning property! Finca Paraiso is idyllic, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. Ken and Alejandra are detail-oriented, friendly, and responsive and easy to communicate with. Breakfast with a Mountain View was one of the best we’ve experienced. Take a walk in the beautiful gardens, and bonus points if you meet the adorable puppy, Julio!

Ken and Alejandra have built a mountain paradise. The accommodations are first rate and their grounds are amazing. The breakfasts are excellent with fresh grown and made foods. It is more of a bed and breakfast than a hotel. They are in the mountains north of San Jose. We had a rental car and no problems moving around. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend Finca Paraiso!

My partner and I stayed 7 nights at Finca Paraiso in September in the Deluxe Bungalow, and we couldn't have made a better choice! We were seeking a quiet mountain getaway and we got that and so much more. The grounds are beautiful, and our bungalow was roomy, well appointed (complete with hot tub!) and had a spectacular panoramic view of the mountains. It felt so secluded and private. However, the true delight was the superb hospitality we received from our host Alejandra. The daily authentic Costa Rican breakfast was of the freshest ingredients and consistently delicious! Every day’s offerings were unique, and Alejandra took great care to ensure we were satisfied. She was so gracious and accommodating. Overall, everything exceeded our expectations and brought us even more appreciation for Costa Rica and its lovely people.

My wife and I spent four nights at the Finca and could have easily stayed longer. Despite being so close to the city and the airport it is truly a mountain retreat with amazing views. The garden is incredible. My wife loves hydrangeas and she was in heaven. The bungalow was spacious, very clean and private. The electric blankets were very much appreciated because it cools down at night. The organic breakfast comes straight from the farm to the table. They even grow their own coffee. It is so good! Every morning they had something different for breakfast and everything was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately my wife was sick (nothing related to the food) and the hosts Ken and Alejandra were outstanding. They have helped in so many ways and we cannot thank them enough for everything they have done for us. I absolutely loved talking to Ken and will always remember our conversations. We would definitely stay with them again if our travels take us back to Costa Rica. It's a fantastic place for a few nights to start or end your trip (or both). For us it was the perfect starting base as the climate is very pleasant (not as hot and humid as other parts of the country). This gives you a gentle start, especially if you left your home at 23 Fahrenheit. The hosts can arrange airport transfers. We used this and got the rental car delivered to the Finca on the next day. Highly recommendable.
