It is only 5 minutes away from the airport, we don't have to worry about missing flights due to traffics or a expensive taxi. Meals are not expensive so the price is good for transferring between cities in the country.

This place is hand crafted, comfy, beautiful, and the owner bent over backwards to make our stay accommodating. Close to the airport and will definitely be sa future stay if I ever make it back to Costa Rica

Small but mighty

The Casa Antigua was perfect for our ~8 hour stay. Their staff could not have been kinder. The owner is a gem of a human, and the organized a shuttle for us that picked us up promptly at 3 AM to get us to the airport in time.

Wonderful experience for a stay near the airport. The owner is phenomenally friendly as he talked to us and gave us a great advice for the rest of our trip including the best driving routs and so much more about the locations to stay as well as tourist attractions. The breakfast was very good, fresh and tasty. We’re excited to stay here again at the end of our trip.

Nice place to stay near the airport in San Jose!

A nice simple low budget option, located close to the airport. Henry, the proprietor of the hotel, is extremely friendly and helpful, and he’s done a beautiful job of decorating the old structure with his woodworking skills! You’ll feel welcomed here.

Convenient to airport (we were not visiting San Jose). Reception was gracious and helpful. She helped us find a restaurant. Restaurant choices were not inviting but ok. The room was inviting and the patio lovely. The street noises were pretty extreme and earplugs provided were much appreciated.

The hotel itself it’s beautiful but it seems it was under maintenance. The staff is friendly:)! There is a really good restaurant called La Casona Rio right down the street. You can literally walk there and you can tell them Pedro (Nicaragua) recommended you to go eat there. You are going to love it:-)

We loved our short stay at Casa Antigua. The owner and manager is incredibly attentive and helpful. The place is pretty incredible, with art and lots of beautiful woodwork created by the owner. It's very convenient to the airport. There were some rundown parts (ie broken toilet seat, restaurant no longer open), but overall it's a great value and we would stay there again.
