"We had a last minute booking and were very pleased with the Sandcastle. We ate next door at Vespara but had a better meal that evening closeby, so u was glad we didn’t stay there for the dining. The hotel had everything we needed including a generous front desk that lent us boogie boards and sand toys for our one night stay! Would definitely come back! Very kid friendly but lots for adults, too! Love the fire pits and bar / cafe but they do get occupied quickly! Parking was great!"

"No need for the AC as the weather was overcast, cloudy and cool. Best feature is the location: right on the beach, by the pier, walking distance to all the shops and eateries. Hotel provides beach towels and little kids stuffs. Room was ok, hair on the sink counter and bathroom's wall. can't beat the location though. Would stay again"

"I stopped here on my drive back down to LA from Oregon and I am so glad this was my last overnight stop!! What a charming and full of character little hotel by the sea! While there are some grounds up keep due to age of the property that could be addressed, this was a lovely little place to spend the night! I was in room 301- the fireplace and jacuzzi were spectacular to have in my room and I did indeed use them! The staff member who checked me in mentioned she was still training but she was wonderful and welcoming and the women who checked me out in the morning was as well! While I did not have a room that faced the ocean- mine overlooked the inner parking lot- I could still hear the waves and birds ! The 24/7 inner lobby area with water, tea, and coffee avail with the fireplace going was wonderful ! Even though I checked in around 10pm , there was still a pie left over from the amazing offering of daily fresh pies and ice cream! OH, and there is ice cream available as part of your stay too!!!! The rooftop over looking the beach and the ocean was fantastic! The pastries, latte, and egg casserole I had were SPECTACULAR! Loved my stay and I hope to visit again"
