Wonderful staff and beautiful river view

Absolutely amazing staff!! Beautiful river view that makes you quickly forget you're next to the train rails! Found room is a bit small, but we were sharing it with a crib :) Had an amazing meal at the restaurant which is really nice night or day times. Definitely telling my friends and coming back!

Hi we booked this hotel using our one key money. When it came to check out we were charged for the room again. We could not get them to understand the one key part so paid for the room so that we could contour journey. Please refund this money to our one key account. Regards Craig

Etablissement en perte de vitesse

Nous avons connu un etablissement florissant. C etait a l epoque des anciens gerants une etape plaisir grace aux plats regionaux et nous aimions bcp la vue sur la Saone depuis la chambre... il est maintenant en perte de vitesse... plus de cuisinier le soir donc un menu unique avec plat sans interet pour une ville a la reputation d etape gastronomique... nous avions reserve une chambre ou l indication vue fleuve etait indiquee 2 fois mais le gerant a refuse de nous changer en meprisant notre reservation qu il a qualifiee de low coast... il critique aussi volontiers les utilisateurs des bornes Tesla... En revanche il ne se remet jamais en cause... c est toujours le client qui a tort... Nul accueil de la gerante...

This hotel is rustic and charming. We were enroute between Florence and Paris and stopped here for the night. It was such a pleasant surprise! Our room, although simple, was immaculately clean and had sweeping views of sunset over the river. The little patio was the perfect spot to wait for dinner in The Old Farm’s original building. Dinner was incredible! Delicious French country dinner at its finest! Impeccable service was offered by the staff which made our dinner in their beautiful floor-to-ceiling-windowed upper veranda a marvelous place to enjoy an early autumn evening. Breakfast the next morning was equally delightful. We watched rowers practicing on the river over our coffee and perfect croissants. My husband's only complaint is that he ate too much. (He finished my dinner as well as his own - it was too good to waste!) My only regret was that the weather did not allow us to enjoy their beautiful pool facility. If I lived in Paris, I’d be here as many weekends as possible. There are farm animals to enjoy. Finally, La Vieille Ferme was an active member of the resistance during WWII. There is a plaque noting their commendation for contributions to that heroic effort. The place is inspiring. These walls have stories to tell. Go and Listen for yourself. Great value! Attention has been paid to every detail.

Réserver chambre à 68€ arrivé sur place on vous donne une chambre à 58€ Manger le soir au resto demandé un foie gras, il n'y a en a as sauf si on prend une salade de croustillant de chèvre qui se révèle être immangeable et ou le chèvre est venu de loin voir de très loin... viande de bonne qualité mais cuisson sans sel ... donc sans gout Passage du TGV toutes les 30 minutes impossible de dormir tranquillement

Mooie ligging, leuk gebouw en leuke sfeer (vijver, fonteintje, lichtjes). De kamers waren heel simpel, maar voldoende voor een nachtje, we hadden mooi uitzicht op de tuin en de Saone rivier. Het eten in het gezellige restaurant is zeer lekker en mooi gepresenteerd. Jammer dat mensen met grote (zieke) honden niet in de aparte zaal worden bediend, want daar zijn wij dan uiteindelijk noodgedwongen beland. Het ontbijt was goed, maar eieren worden er niet aangeboden.

Små værelser. Mangler et køleskab. Vi var der en søndag og da var restauranten ikke åben, så vi kunne ikke få noget koldt at drikke (30 grader) og forretninger var lukket. Det havde været rart med et køleskab til kolde drikke. 3 overnatninger. Men ligger dejligt.

Cadre campagnard très agréable mais plutôt bruyant

Bon repas sur terrasse avec vue sur la Saône. Il faut négliger le bruit de la route très fréquentée, des trains assez fréquents et des trois bateaux à moteur. Promenade agréable le long de la Saône par accès au bout du pré. La nuit, une fois que l'on a entendu rentrer les voisins, fenêtre fermée, c'est calme. Et à 8 h, quel plaisir de nager seuls dans la piscine ! L'accueil est très agréable et souriant , y compris par la femme de ménage rencontrée le matin.

Toppen med pool och bra restaurang. Jättefin omgivning, floden och huvudbyggnaden med hagar och ängar. Längan där de flesta rummen ligger ser för gräslig ut, men helt ok inne. Hade varit bra med AC eller åtminstone fläkt under denna värmebölja, poolen blev räddningen.

Useful motel; great river view and good restaurant

Great place to stop if you are in transit from the Alps to Calais, or vice versa. The place is basically a motel, just off the autoroute, but with a higher standard of cleanliness and comfort than you'd normally expect from a motel. Rooms are standard motel, chicken-coop size. What lifts it above the ordinary is a wonderful view of the Saone straight before you, and direct access to a walking/cycling path along the riverside. There's a good, if rather pricey, restaurant - you have the option of driving into Macon to try to find something better, but we were glad to eat here. Breakfast seemed to consist entirely of processed foods. Nice staff and management. Good wifi and hot water.

Prestation très décevante. Les photos laissent penser que l'hôtel se trouve dans une vieille batisse en pierres apparentes mais ce bâtiment n'est que le restaurant. Les chambres se trouvent dans une annexe, le cadre est froid. Ne parlons même pas de la salle de bain.

Small hotel attached to riverside restaurant

Motel style rooms attached to a restaurant by a motorway. There is a heritage mini-farm/petting zoo which our room overlooked which was nice. Room and bathroom were in great condition, bedding and linen all sparkling. Large entrance foyer inside the room's front door was ample to store any luggage (in our case easily accommodating 2 bicycles). Room had its own mini-terrace overlooking the farmlet and horse paddock. Swimming pool was very welcome on a hot day. For us this was the perfect stopoff on the Blue Route bike path down the river, as it sat right next to the path. We didn't use the bar and restaurant. Overall excellent value.
