Really nice room I was in. Large bedroom and bathroom and mainly it was all very clean. All the staff I spoke to were friendly. It was a nice place to stay and close to everything

5 minute walk from the bus station, 10 minute walk to the beach. Great sized room. Comfy bed. Very clean. Would stay again!

The staff at galera are amazing. Every single person was unbelievable. This is literary just a cheap and cheerful base. The location was perfect for us. The hotel is very loud. The noise from the street and the rest of the hotel was alot. But if youre just there to party you will be ok. The hotel was clean, maids came everyday in the afternoon which we liked as it didnt disturb us. Aircon, safe and fridge provided for free. We paid for late check out until 2pm for €25 which is an absolute bargain.

The Galera is a lovely hotel to stay. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Rooms are clean. It has a lovely pool with many sun beds and a poolside bar. It is a short walk from the bus station and 5minute walk to main centre and beach. We cannot fault this hotel and the price was fantastic

Good stay no complaints

The service was great very friendly, helpful, spoke english. Always helpful requesting taxis since we are not off main area. Rooms were clean smelled clean. Dated rooms but all you really do is sleep in this city which black out curtains a absolute plus! There is a pool right across street. We were asked to be mindfull of noise at about 11pm but understood no biggie.

perfect for 9 lads on a 4 day stag do. location was brilliant. pool bext door with a small bar. bar wasnt great a bit expensive for what it was. there was an option for breakfast but i never tried it. rooms were spacious for 3 lads sharing a room a little dated but not a concern for us. shower wasnt great only cold or scolding but again i dont mind a cold shower in 34 degree heat. air con worked perfectly a bit noisy but kept the room cool. overall would stay here again the price was very good and very good location.

If Carlsberg did quiet get aways.

My flight was super late getting in and I arrived at the hotel in the small hours. However, the reception is 24 hours at Hotel Galera. I was greeted warmly by the host who knew I was arriving 👏👏💪🔥❤️ and promptly checked in. The room was absolutely spotless, SUPER Clean and the TV and fridge in perfect working order. The bed was nicely made and the level of firmness I adore. The position of the hotel is beside the local stadium and bus station and just out of the way of the main strip and "West End" of San Antonio. I had a lovely relaxing trip. The hotel staff made me feel at home. The bed and room were perfect. I highly recommend Hotel Galera for a restful stay.

The property was in a great area, especially those who are wanting to go to clubs like Eden which is a 5 min walk the same for the bus station. The only disappointment was the staff, some of them were friendly, however the night staff were rude and unhelpful and clearly unwilling to help which made me feel slightly unsafe. At one point they wouldn’t even let me use the hotel phone during an emergency, so while I recommend the cleanliness and location, a small selection of the staff made me feel unsafe and were unsympathetic and unhelpful. However there were also members of staff in the day who were friendly.

Would definitely stay here again, decor is a bit dated but has everything you could possibly need (aircon,fridge,shower, etc..) and affordable. Short walk to shops and taxi rank, lovely friendly staff!! Thankyou!!

Great location.

Great location right behind the saint anthony bus station. Hotel is old and could hear all the noise from the street. Beds not comfortable. Great staff though. They made our stay pleasant and were extremely helpful.

Pleasant stay, clean and comfortable.

Decent location - close to the port and to the strip but on a quiet street. Fresh towels every day and they come to clean your room, make your bed etc. balcony was small but enough for 2 people to sit - no table. Bed was comfortable. Best thing about the room was the air con - decent temperature and not temperamental - easy to use - bathroom was decent, bit on the smaller side but did the job. Walls were quit thin so you could hear doors closing etc and people speaking in the neighbouring room. Didn’t use the pool but was a decent size and they had breakfast in the mornings till 1pm which we didn’t end up having but thought it was good prices. Definitely worth the price. Staff were lovely, special shout out to Helya.

The hotel was average, but I asked to move rooms because I was given a room on the side of the hotel that faces the main road and the pool which blasted out music every morning and I was told by the boy and girl receptionists who sat on the reception all day that this wasn’t possible as it was already 1pm in the afternoon and I had to comeback the next day in the morning to ask if I can possibly swap rooms if there is availability apparently. I have never heard such nonsense in my life there was plenty of availability in that hotel as I was online lots of rooms available to buy. I couldn’t believe I have to comeback the next day just to change rooms it’s not my fault I cannot sleep due to the loud noises from hotel pool blasting everyday morning waking me up. This is completely unprofessional and I was given a lousy answer back. I will not be staying in this hotel ever again.
