“I visited the Grand about 15 years ago. That time the hotel looked a bit run down. So it was good to see the communal areas much improved. It must have been quite an hotel in it's hayday. Our room was clean and well presented. The bed was a bit hard, but the sea view was great. Things to improve. I paid for early check in, I had to wait half an hour in the que before I got to the front. I had booked in online and paid for my stay the day before. I wouldn't pay for early check in again. “Lovely place to stay and in a great location. Comfortable room and really nicely presented throughout.”

“Lovely staff. Hotel windows exteriors are quite dirty. Parking is limited too but on the street parking is useful. The location is excellent.”

“Beautiful location and friendly host and staff who did everything to make our stay a memorable experience. As we and other guests were visiting the Teddy Swims event in Scarborough the host played his video in the lounge and waited for everyone to return after the event. Property is dated but as the saying goes “if it works don’t fix it.””

“For the cost of the room I expected more modern decor and room facilities. Very basic bath/shower combo, basic tea making facilities and dated decor/room furniture. The view from the room was fantastic but the view alone shouldn’t warrant such high prices.”
