“Comfortable & clean”

“We were fortunate to be the only ones staying so we didn't have any issues with the shared bathroom situation. It was pleasantly warm which was surprising because the house is so big. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast piece is definitely not really a thing anymore and it seems like the place is for sale but it's a lovely area and the grounds are gorgeous. We had a fantastic stay after apple picking. ”

“So despite its name, this is not a hotel. It is definitely a motel and that is how it should be filtered on Expedia. Parking was annoying- Expedia description states that there is a parking garage with which the motel has a relationship and this was not available on our visit so we had to find parking in a busy area. Also, a freight train line runs behind this property which is quite loud. There is also a bar nearby that is quite loud at night. On the plus side, the staff was friendly. ...

“Harmony Hill was a great place to spend a quiet night after exploring the area. It was very clean, and the hosts Mary and Bill were kind and attentive. Breakfast was abundant and well prepared, and my husband's dietary needs were well attended to. We enjoyed!”

“It’s a beautiful property right in the heart of Charlottesville… easy access to campus and village restaurants and night life. It is a different feel not having a human to check in… no front desk… just a code and a room assignment.”

“The air conditioning in the room was broken and the hotel was completely booked so they gave us a fan to help but the room temperature was still uncomfortably warm. The hotel manager was incredibly nice and helpful when we checked out but the night was very unpleasant. ”

“The property is a beautiful old home from 1800's. The grounds are well kept and the bathrooms are upgraded beautifully. There are fire pits for cooler weather. It was off season so the pool and hot tubs were not available. The game room is very fun and the parlor had some snacks and drinks.”
