Alles was man braucht.
I arrived late-ish on the Sunday, but two staff were on-hand to let me in, show me to my room and help with wi-fi and some ideas for local restaurants.
The next morning, the restaurant manager also gave me loads of tips on places to go jogging locally and bus information into the local town (Ingelheim) so that I wasn't late for my meeting.
Schwabenhaim itself is a charming little German town with a few restaurants and a nice pub, spotlessly clean and offering good bus routes into the local Rhine Valley area
Hotel Stadt Mainz is a great base from which to enjoy this for about 30% of the cost of a Frankfurt or Mainz Hotel!

Cheap hotel with free parking
We stayed here as part of a road-trip because it was within easy driving distance of Mainz. Check-in was easy: we arrived late at night, and the concierge was waiting for us with the paperwork ready. The room was decent, with a shower, sink, and two separate beds (toilets are in the hall, for communal use). It also had very strong, free wifi. However, the walls are very thin, so we could hear all of the noise made by our next-door neighbors. It's also on a surprisingly busy street, and we could hear cars rushing past all night.

Decent basic German hotel
We've booked this hotel because of the German Grand Prix at Hockenheim (1hr driving).
The hotel is basic and in a quiet area in the city centre of Schwabenheim. Rooms have thin walls, so it could be noisy when it's fully booked. In case of our stay (last weekend of July), only 5 rooms were booked.
Shower (in room) was clean. Toilets are shared and were clean as well.
In the morning a decent (German) breakfast is served for an additional fee.
A few restaurants are nearby, but most of them were closed in the holiday period during our stay (apart from one restaurant).
The parking lot is at the opposite of the hotel.
