"Accessible room. We love the spacious room with a fridge (so useful for some medication). The room was clean and stocked with basic tea, coffee and milk. The bed is a double. We would prefer a king-size but there would be less space around the bed. The mattress was very soft and not supportive. "Room was shabby, furniture scratched and well-worn. Bathroom icy cold. However, on bringing these points to the attention of the staff, a heater was delivered - thank you. Obviously there was no quick solution to the shabbiness of the room (suite 2 Manor House). Some of the food was poor, but again on raising this, staff dealt with it. On balance, we feel the staff did what they could to manage our concerns."

"Lovely friendly staff, always remembering that I stayed before. We get the room we have requested. We order a vegetarian roast which is outstanding, food delicious and hot. Plenty of parking. Depending where the room is you can hear the traffic going past in the evening & mornings but overall alovely stay. That's why we keep going back and also you have a choice of breakfast part of the deal."

"Friendly and helpful staff throughout the stay, from reception to brasserie to bar staff. The food prepared for the wake was delicious, and very welcome after the service at the nearby crematorium. Didn't try the breakfast as had to rush off for another appointment, but if it is anything like lunch the previous day, it would have been lovely"
