Facilities - fresh towels were put in room everyday by the staff, 2x nearby elevators in floor Hotel in good location - many neaby restaurants, convience stores & subway stations Only downside is there is no tea/coffee provided in the room ( although there is kettle for hot water)

Outdated interior, could do with a refurb. Floors and bathroom not very clean, no housekeeping done in the 2 days we stayed. Staff strict with check in time, we arrived 30 minutes early but had to wait. Location is a huge plus though.

It is located at center of old city. There are lots of dining and shopping places. It is in Insa-Dong and two palaces are in walking distance. And the room was very quiet.

Ok here’s the positive 1st and then will mention the negatives. Location is great as a tourist as it’s within walking distance to most sights. Bed was comfortable and good size room. The price, I paid 40 Euros per night. Free bottled water in fridge. The negative. It’s rather noisy. You can hear the water loudly going trough the pipes when people are showering in other rooms. My room had a small window facing a wall so not much light was coming in. Decoration is dated.walls are painted in green! Contacted hotel for directions and they replied day after I checked in. I did book on the morning of my stay though and arrived at midnight. I hated the spot lights in the room, not enough light at all, floor lamp was not working. The actual bath was not built properly, when showering a lot of water would run on the bathroom floor.

Over charge for late checkout!
They over charge 10,000 krw for 30 min and I payed 40,000 krw for late checkout 2pm. The staff has poor English.

Great location but that’s it.
Unfortunately my stay wasn’t pleasant. Both rooms smelled like cigarette smoke (asked to be moved once to another room but realized it’s all the same). Got a headache two different days because of it. Washroom floors weren’t cleaned because there was still hair and pubic hair on the floors. The only good thing about this hotel is the location. The staff seemed apologetic and probably understood my pain as they also know it’s not the best place to stay.

Great value for location
Great location! Same area as Gyeongbokgung Palace, National Museum of Contemporary and Modern Arts, and National Treasure 2. Rooms for same price are not the same though -- some rooms have toilets with bidets, and closets, others don't. Will stay again here

Insadong & train stations nearby
Great stay near Insadong’s busy area and close to a few train stations. Older hotel but room has been renovated. Best part: there’s a convenience store downstairs with direct lift access to the hotel!

The hotel staff are super resourceful and multilingual. But in terms of the room itself, I would say the images online are much nicer than the actual room. I felt our room wasn't the cleanest. The thermostat wasn't working properly, and the room felt humid the entire time. But it was sufficient because we were out of the rooms during the day.

A decent location but so many drunk old people around. Insadong is really cool and the subway station close but the immediate nearby area is unpleasant. The hotel room didn’t look anything like the photos. really small, bad odour (seems inevitable in Seoul) and it was really hot. The hotel didn’t turn on the ac because it wasn’t summer so we had to leave the window open with all the micro dust and bad odour coming in. The worst part was that someone was smoking nearby and the smell was coming into our washroom and the hotel couldn’t do anything about it... Overall, horrible experience. It’s an old hotel with limited amenities. I mean you get what you pay for. So pay more and get a better hotel.

we arrived the next morning already(delayed flight problems), though we booked the night before the hotel staff consider it as no show. their bed can be occupied by a child but the staff ask us to pay an additional charge of W40,000 for an 11 yo child. When i booked it in expedia, an 11 yo is considered as a child. i don't understand why they ask us to pay an additional charge. They didn't even gave us an extra towel, slipper and tootbrush for the child eventhough we pay the particular charge. The next morning, we noticed that they didn't even change the towels. although there's a note from the utility staff that she cleaned it. We have to request for the cleaning before they do it. It's not automatic unlike in other hotels. We thought the reason why we have to leave our keys before we go somewhere is because they are going to clean it. The positive side is that there is a convenience store near the lobby and it is also near the train and bus station going to the airport.

dated building with updated rooms and well-kept
Though the building itself is dated, the building has been undergoing renovations with new room furnishings and updated bathrooms. I am aware that some guests have complained that not all rooms have been renovated and that the pictures online were misleading. Hopefully by now they have all been updated. You can see some of the older furniture having been put in the stairwell corridors by the south elevators on each floor. The next step would be to remove the carpeting and install hardwood, which was not done as part of the recent renovations. The housekeeping staff do a great job. The hotel is also located very close to the hanok-gil nearby as well and insadong, which is great for tourists (if I was one). The hotel staff are friendly, however I would have appreciated it had they not made such a big deal out of the fact that my family name is not Korean and seeing my ability to converse in Korean as being novel.

Misleading pics
Pics of the room was obviously not the same as what I got at the hotel. My Guess was part of the hotel was renovated. Very very angry to misled this way and spoilt my stay. I arrived late at about 6pm. And so had no choice but to accept it for the night. It was terrible.
