"Even before we checked in, Kasha had helped us rent a Jeep and answered tons of questions for us. We stayed at the Island Oasis and it was such a relaxing place to return to each evening. "I like the comfortable luxury of this quiet little resort. Service was superb and facilities are very nice. The only issue we had were mosquitos swarms that covered the whole island for the last 3 of our 6 night stay. They were everywhere, including the beach and restaurants. In researching why, I found the local government had been hoodwinked into paying a biotech company to release millions of mosquitoes. The hope is to reduce mosquito in the future, but it certainly is at the expense of tourist and the natural environment. While this decision to release millions of mosquitoes is not on Little Dix, it would have helped to have screen porches. There simple was not a place to sit and enjoy the outdoors. Water activities were safe during the day, but by 4pm, the biotech mosquitoes were large and in charge of the whole island. "

"This place has a lot of potential. Unfortunately our trip started on "the wrong foot". There was a water outage which was quickly dealt with (pipe burst). But we were told the water was back on in our unit but when we arrived after running around the island for the day, it was still off. It did get resolved. I would say that for the price I paid, I was expecting good water pressure with hot water. I would call the water at best warm but did not get hot. Water pressure was less than expected. If you plan to stay here, bring a flash light since lighting is not good. They have 2 lamps on the sides of the bed but only one has an outlet next to it. There are few outlets. Kitchen is bare bones. Bring your own cutting board, bottle opener. only 2 pots and a couple of dishes and silverware. Water might not be potable. Plan to buy drinking water. Water smelled strange. Good things- bed was very comfortable, air conditioning worked great. "
