"surprised by the view of the waterfall from our room. The only place where we stayed that provided free coffee. Which was great. As coffee is very expensive to buy outside in Iceland even when they also use a similar machine. I also really liked the shampoo and shower gel they had in the bathroom. The other guests were quiet and cleaning the kitchen really diligently. "

"We visited the puffin nesting observatory a few years back and on this trip took my brother and sister to the same location, although the puffins had since left in late August. However, still a very nice place to stay and if you are there earlier in the year, a fantastic place to witness puffins up close and personal!"

"The hotel is located next to the family farm on the lake. Beautiful grounds and a beautiful, inviting lobby and restaurant. We ate at the onsite restaurant and the food was innovative and delicious. The breakfast buffet the next morning was very varied, plentiful and delicious. The rooms were comfortable but small which is not unusual for Iceland. The bathroom was small as well but manageable. They have free parking which is nice. They also provide wake-up calls for the northern lights and we were fortunate to receive one. Excellent property to take advantage."
