Perfect hotel and restaurant.

Charming, friendly hotel with pleasant garden, welcoming staff and comfortable room. Exquisite food; the wine flight is perfectly matched to the tasting menu. Sherborne is a delightful town and the hotel perfectly placed for town, abbey and castles. It's also only a short walk from the station.

Quiet luxury at the Eastbury

Lovely hotel with pretty gardens and friendly, professional staff. Good food. Restaurant in conservatory looking over grounds, inc badminton net and croquet hoops. Two excellent lounges for residents. Parking at rear via obscure route. Road at front close to town centre.

If I have a criticism, I found the double bed too small as was the bathroom.....I am not a fan of showers in the bath !! If it hadn’t been for those two points I would have graded you higher.

The hotel rooms have been refurbished and there is currently building works at the rear for a spa complex. Our room was an upgrade and we felt like millionaires . A short walk into the gorgeous town and stunning Abbey.

Excellent rooms, restaurant and town.

This excellent hotel has a first class restaurant; the sampler menu and wine flight are a must. Nearby, the New Castle has wonderful grounds and a delightful house that has remained in the same family for centuries. The Old Castle (English Heritage) is well worth exploring, as is the Abbey and charming town. Ours was a return visit to the Eastbury and we would certainly enjoy staying in such a friendly and welcoming hotel again.

Pleasant hotel, conveniently located with a beautiful garden. Staff were helpful but some could be better trained. Very nice restaurant for a good breakfast and I suspect dinner there would have been good too. Overall OK but a little investment in the rooms and staff training would make it even better.

Always reliably good

The Eastbury is a perfect hotel for us; smart but not too smart that you feel uncomfortable, quiet but close enough to town not to feel out on a limb. The rooms are nice, beds comfortable and the food is great. We are in Sherborne often - our children at the schools - and The Eastbury is always a pleasure to stay at.
