"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were in Beijing for a 10 days family vacation. I took a chance and booked us a location that was off the touristy spot where all the big hotels were - so glad I did - VUE is a hidden gem. We took to walking around the Hutong neighborhoods right away, my father loved his morning walks in Houhai Park which was right behind the hotel. "Great location! Close to station and wangfujing shopping area. Very clean, and good view from our window, great size room too ! The only downside was, need more staff that speak better English! The only people that speak good English was the reception. Breakfast was good for me but there’s no English breakfast for my British husband. Big bed but a bit too hard for us, and aircon need to be colder."

"The hotel itself was generally as expected. Our room did not have a rainforest shower that appears to be missing as there was a toggle to switch between the regular shower head and rainforest shower. The clean up each day varied in effort which wasn’t great. Got extra pillows when asked for it so that’s good. The best thing about the hotel is its proximity to stuff like the palace museum and Tiananmen Square. Also close to Wangfujing st."

"Lovely location, very close to the 8 and 1 train lines and a decent amount of bus stops just to the left of the main entrance. Theres two 7/11's a two minute walk away in either direction aswell as the main wangfujing shopping street. The hotel rooms themselves are large and comfortable though slightly outdated (though it wasn't an issue) - the bathroom tub and shower showed their age the most but the water pressure was good. One thing to note is if you have two king rooms (I was travelling with my mother) you won't be able to have a connecting room, you'll be a room apart as they only do a connecting with a king and two singles."
