“Lovely old building with nice staff and excellent food. Parking can be a problem and the tv system is on satellite and hardly ever works. But definitely a lovely hotel and we would return.”

“This lovely old inn/B&B is in an excellent location in the middle of Bovey Tracey. Our room, a twin, was really clean and plenty big enough. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was fine. The breakfast is great with lots of choice and we also ate in the pub in the evenings and the food was lovely. The staff were very friendly. I would definitely stay there again.”

“Fantastic location overlooking the hilltop sea views. Last minute overnight booking, with only the rear looking room available (would like to try the sea view rooms next time). Room was immaculately clean with a fan, iron (and board), hairdryer, microwave, toaster, fridge and kettle (also tea, coffee and milk, that you can have refilled if you need more). Staff were absolutely fantastic from the time we checked in to when we left. Bar and food area downstairs (also plenty of outdoor seating). I...

“Very enjoyable stay at The George. Staff very helpful, breakfast was great, didn't need lunch any of the days we stayed. Room 3 was perfect for a family, two separate rooms with a bathroom in between.”

“Honestly it’s a dump. Tiny dirty rooms. Smelly pub with bad food. The location on the sea front is perhaps its benefit but it’s in a parking lot. Avoid”
