"Beautiful resort and buffet, second time we have been, only issue would be if your room is near a main thoroughfare and you have kids it can be quite noisy at night if you usually sleep earlier."
"The Club experience is one of the best we have experienced in the world (but it is expensive). We had fantastic service in the Club and the food, drinks and accommodation are amazing.
Our food in all of the restaurants throughout our stay were fantastic, except for the Asian Buffet which was sub-standard (especially when you compare with the Sheraton Fiji Buffet dinners)."
"This is our second trip to the Outrigger, and it was once again really lovely.
Most of the things I didn't like had to do with the excessive prices and fees that guests are charged.
Things I liked
*Facilities and rooms are well-maintained, modern and clean
*Spacious room overlooking the ocean, with all the amenities you need (fridge, hair dryer, nice-sized bathroom, safe)
*Afternoon snack & drink each day
*Lots of activities for adults and kids (particularly enjoyed free use of snorkels)
*4-5 restaurants to choose from (we liked the Sundowner Bar & Grill the most)
*Bebe Spa experience was nice (the view is amazing up there)
*Love that there is an Adults only pool and restaurant
*Free wi-fi
*Detailed information about amenities and services available through an app
*Ability to track room bill through your TV
*Channel ABC Australia was available (good for AFL fans)
Things I didn't like
*No options to purchase fruit or healthy snacks, which is a shame given that there are no shops near the resort.
*No Fijian food on the menus
*3% surcharge for payment with a credit card is insane when you're spending thousands on your room bill or accommodation payment
*10FJD fee and 900 FJD max withdrawal using ATM
*Hotel transfer cost is high, around 160 AUD (can get for 100 AUD elsewhere)
*7.50 FJD for a 1 litre bottle of water (they only give you 1 complimentary bottle per day)
*Although the views and the general experience at Bebe Spa were nice, the massage itself was pretty average"
"Pretty nice hotel with Great restaurant, even people from other hotels go to eat at the restaurant, nicely located, and affordable prices, very friendly staff"
"Friendly and helpful staff
Property well maintained but needs more lighting at night
Great location of room
Great variety of food and drinks but need more restaurants
Meal plan not fully all inclusive (ex: room service fees, 1 choice for lunch and 2 choices for dinner on a la carte menus)
Buffet needs improvement
Limited TV channels
Minimal night entertainment
Not able to US dollars on property"
"Breakfast is included which was a huge array of different foods and you could bring small Tupperware to take some “extras to-go” to munch on later! ;)
The water snakes are NOT poisonous.
Staff is great and helpful.
There was an adult pool tha seemed more for Seniors. The main pool was nice, even with the week-behaved kids for the adults to hang out at with the swim up bar.
The hibachi restaurant is awesome and so is the one on the little island for seafood! Make sure you make reservations in advance for the dinner!
The waterfall close by is closed so I highly recommend you do the RIVER TUBING where they take you to a huge waterfall about an hour away from the hotel!!!! (Ask the hotel staff that scheduled events - brochure pic is included in my review)
They have a salon and do an amazing job for hair services. They washed and braided my hair for a reasonable amount. The braiding here is exceptional! They use very good quality products and the braiding was FAST! Make sure to book with them! :)
Book your travel to/from the airport in advance. We took the bus for $15 Fiji $ but took almost 3hrs with the bus stops."
"The beachouse is a lovely place. Don’t expect a 5star resort, but it’s got all you need. Staff is friendly and helpful and you feel welcome as a solo traveler. There’s not much around (no supermarkets, shops etc) so unless you have a car, make sure you bring everything that you need for your stay. The public bus from/to the airport stops right in front of the Beachouse (costs about FJD11 one way and takes about 3h) Just make sure you tell the driver multiple times to stop at the Beachouse. I’d stay there again :)"
"It was a wonderful stay at Maui palms. I can’t say enough about how kind and accommodating the team was here. It was smiles and laughter every day but even with the lightheartedness you could still see how attentive and caring they all were. The dinners were delicious, large portions and prompt. There’s also a small gym here which was a nice surprise. Not only do you get diverse marine life in your backyard (that you can see while in or out of the water), but you also get gorgeous sunrises and sunsets turning the sky and ocean pink."
