“My first visit to Silverton and I'm so glad I chose to stay at The Avon! Loved the charm of this place, very fitting to the full experience of a mountain town at high elevation. The whole establishment was kept very clean, bathrooms are clean and stuffed with clean towels and toiletries, the kitchen/bar/living room area is very roomy. “We were honestly shocked at how dirty the room was. Floors left our feet black with filth, and the sheets were "clean enough", yet had some hair and dirt flecks in them. The shower was good water pressure and heat, but the floor outside it had signs of water damage (squishy floorboards). Toilet seat was barely attached to toilet. We stayed in the mysterious room 10, which wasn't mentioned in the lobby signage, and we got in late so we had to call the emergency line to even find it. Turns...

“I was extremely surprised after all the great reviews online this property was such a bad experience. Full disclosure I left the front office a list of issue and never got a phone call back from the manager. There was no air condition. The room was a steam room. We called the property number we were told to grab a fan and put it in the open window to get air from outside. The WIFI did not work at all. The shower curtain rod was rusted and ready to fall out.
