"The hotel is lovely and in an ideal location. Our room was not as comfortable as I would have liked. There were some maintenance issues that never got addressed despite several requests."
"The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were late checking in due to car issues and the person on the desk made us sandwiches without being asked. So thoughtful."
"Proper stay for a night or two. Very friendly welcome at the bar. Room was recently renovated with a good mattress and clean bathroom.
Improvement points: Hallway to the rooms smells to smoking. Service at breakfast could be improved, the lady seemed in a bad mood."
"Great property. Note that it is about an hour from most key points on Skye….Portree, Talisker, quairang and not many dining options.
Pick up groceries at the coop in Broadford."
"very friendly staff here. it is very quiet on this section of the Isle, but you are close to everywhere you will want to go. the property has plenty of parking. it is a historic, older property, so the is no AC or lift. the breakfast room is really nice and a good spot to rest in the AM."
"This is a beautiful place to stay. The view is spectacular. Rooms were clean and the staff was amazing. The only issue was that we expected a tv, but didn't have one. But found out that we didn't need it after all.
That was the only reason I gave it 4 stars."
"I was allocated Room 10 and found there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom and I couldn’t open the window. It was too high and tightly closed and locked. I needed assistance to open it. Plus the “heated towel rail” had no way to turn it on. There was conflicting advice from reception staff about it so I realised it didnt work. Everything else about this hotel was lovely. Quiet location, superb food in the restaurant ( best Sunday roast dinner I’ve ever had! ), amazing breakfasts and an actual coffee machine that makes Flat whites and lattes! Don’t bother going down to town, just eat here. The staff were lovely as well. I would recommend and stay here again, just not in Room 10. Remember to bring your own face washer to Scotland!"
