Booked a king bed but was given a queen. I was told by staff that it’s a king room because it has a microwave and a mini fridge. It was definitely queen mattress on a king frame. The L’occitane amenities were nowhere to be found. The staff told me that the picture is old and should not be on the website anymore. There was one thin robe behind the door which I never used. The sink was shallow and splashed water everywhere every time I turned it on. The shower curtain did not contain the water either, and splashed water all over the floor. The draining water in the shower made a loud noise that lasted for a long time and had to keep the bathroom door closed. Room was cleaned everyday but nothing got filled. I had to make a special request each time I ran out of hand soap and conditioner. Will not stay here again.

The location is very convenient — the Grand train station is only about a 6‑minute walk, making it easy to get around the city and even reach Wrigley Field without any hassle. The area feels lively, safe, and perfect for exploring Chicago. Breakfast was very good, and the staff was friendly and attentive. I want to highlight Cristina in particular — her service, kindness, and professionalism really stood out and made the experience even better. Even though I was on a high floor, you can still hear some of the typical city noise (motorcycles, ambulances, police sirens). It’s part of being in downtown Chicago, and it didn’t take away from the overall quality of the stay. Overall, this was a great experience from start to finish. I definitely recommend this hotel.
