"The Kelo-Igloo was GORGEOUS! The log work was so beautiful. The fireplace was magical and we enjoyed falling asleep to real fire crackling and a sky view. We appreciated having a sauna in our room and it was so kind that when we arrived late for check-in, they had a dinner box prepared. The same happened for an early checkout, they prepped a a nice breakfast box. The grounds were well maintained and we appreciated having drivers available so that we didn't have to walk everywhere since the property is big. There was a lot of snow and the location is very convenient to IVL airport. Overall, a magical stay -- I am still tracking the northern lights from their aurora app to stay in touch. That was a nice touch. My one suggestion is that I wish everything didn't close so early -- e.g. the Planetarium only has two shows. Majority of people are out doing activities during the show or having breakfast. This would allow guests to truly experience what all Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort has to offer. "

"This Resort was a pleasant surprise!! While looking for options around Sariselka, there were several choices for glassigloos and resorts. Due to reviews and pricing , I picked this. But I made the best decision This beautiful resort is located on top of a mountain and has ski resort as well. There are beautiful view points up on the hill with a viewing deck. You can have the best views of northern lights ( in the season) here . We stayed in an Aurora cabin and had the best views of northern lights. We could see it from our cabin itself. We also went on a Northen lights mini bus tour , which was an additional activity service available at this resort. Restaurant in the resort has some very tasty limited but very good vegetarian options for dinner . Breakfast was really elaborate with plenty of choices . "

"Amazing breakfast included in the room cost 7-10am, got a free upgrade to a suite with a personal sauna in our room, perfectly located in the middle of the village. Maybe 5-7 minute walk to the top of the village and 20th to the downhill ski resort. 3 min walk to the trails. Everything was amazing!"

"Beautiful cozy warm clean cabin in an idyllic pretty location, remote and quiet but within 2 miles of Luosto centre with restaurants, supermarket, ski slope and gift shop. Taxis limited. Shower and sauna fantastic, do need to go outside to get to it but they provided croc type shoes for you. Customer service responded quickly to messages via the hotel.com app. Saw the Northern Lights dancing above our cabin on the first night, absolutely amazing above the snowy trees. Whilst watching the lights we got ourselves locked out when the cabin door shut after us so make sure you snip the door or take key outside!! Sent a message to customer service (phone number didn’t work for us) and they responded sending a maintenance man to let us back in within an hour (90 euro fee). Did a few activities in the area led by local guides and walks in the beautiful white landscape. Overall we loved our stay and wish it could have been longer. "

"I stayed here for four nights in January and overall it’s a nice hotel. The food (breakfast was free) and dinner were pleasant. If you order from the buffet the food is of course of Finnish delicacy but the à la carte menu is good with lots of options and good prices for food and alcoholic drinks. The rooms themselves are pleasant slightly on the smaller side, but the bathroom is lovely with a great shower. The view from the bedrooms is also lovely, but there’s a couple of things that I could do with improving across the bedrooms. First thing is the glass windows should be one way (so you can see out but you cannot see in). The view outside is so stunning you want to be able to have your curtains open all the time but you can’t because people can see directly in and windows face each other. Secondly, it would be nice to have some more amenities in the room. There was only green tea, in my room. I feel there should be one of every tea(I had to go back into the main dining hall in order to get additional teabags, but these are not supplied as standard during housekeeping). It would also be nice to have small plates / small juices? In the bathroom, something a small as shower caps small set of tweezers et cetera would make for a better experience. One thing I couldn’t stand is the two single beds - I don’t know if there was an option to have one king/queen bed but this option wasn’t provided to me. The separate bed"
