"We recently stayed 3 nights at Thon Slottsparken and had a wonderful stay. Good location - we were able to walk around pretty much everywhere. We stayed in a business room, and it could fit 2 adults, 2 young kids easily with plenty of space. They set up the sofa bed before our arrival, and it felt like we had two bedrooms! I don't think there was AC, but the weather was pleasant while we were there, so no complaint. Bathroom's floor was heated. There was a kitchenette in the room (stove, microwave, fridge, sink) with limited cooking utensils (just one bread knife, no other knives) and no dish soap, but I suppose they could supply more if we needed/asked for those. We didn't use the kitchen since we were just out and about all day after breakfast until bedtime lol. There was a self-service laundry in the basement (about ~$8-9/load), but we didn't need to use it. Breakfasts were plenty with a good variety. Staff was nice and friendly."

"The only issue & that seems to be the same in all Norwegian hotels, no barroom hooks or shower mats. Staff was friendly but was misinformed about the Viking Ship Museum being closed that everyone else knew about. Good meal & close to the train station from the airport."
