Best Western Plus Emerald Isle Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Hotel is in excellent location, convenient to hwy, grocery stores and restaurants. Great walkability. Lots of easy free parking. Also very clean, and nice gestures in the lobby like snacks/drinks (eg brownies/lemonade). Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok, not bad choices, but very small area that was very full so not super convenient. We were allowed to keep our electric bikes in our room but they did have a locked bike area available so that was great. Would recommend and stay again."

Holiday Inn Victoria Elk Lake by IHG

"This property is great for families. We had a room on the main floor that opened onto our patio and a good sized swimming pool. We used this a lot with the seven year old. The beds were comfy and had nice pillows and bedding. The breakfast in the Lakes restaurant was generous and tasty, and the staff were very obliging. The rooms were clean and everything worked. We would return here again as it served all our needs and was just off the highway and it was easy to drive to everywhere in Victoria. It was a two block walk from Broadmead Mall and Thrifties which was handy as well. A friendly place to stay for an Island holiday."

"I would say that the stay was good and hotel front desk staff was friendly and warm. But the restaurant that was attached to the hotel, a 10 acre restaurant, was very poor. Me and my wife got seated then had to wait like 10 minutes for a menu and they were not busy. Also they did only check in a couple times on us, we had to wait for water, the drinks that were non alcoholic drinksovrrly priced, plus the food portions were small and lack flavor and presentation, burger looked like something i could get at McDonald's, s total disappointment and waste of money. Overall, I will give the hotel 4 star, the restaurant need to do better!"
