"First of all, I have nothing against any staff and the lady at the desk who checked me in was very nice. I also booked this hotel the night before I stayed and it was the last room available. I paid $328.03 USD which is a lot for me at any given time. Now for the quality of the hotel and stay-it was not good. As soon as I opened the door, a very strong deodorizer smell hit me. With all the windows opened I left my stuff and went out to hike thinking the smell would go away. It did not. I think it’s something they left in the room. It gave me a horrible headache. People who are sensitive to smells should think twice about staying here. I was miserable. There was also no A/C in the room. It was a hot day and it absorbed a TON of heat. Way too hot for me to sleep. The mattress was also mushy and lumpy. The sheets were stained with previous guests sweat. There was also a loud clicking and popping sound coming from fridge, heater (which was off), and maybe walls? It was annoying and didn’t go away until after 5:30am. The bathroom shower is not separated from toilet and sink area but by a curtain that has about a foot of space underneath. Water goes everywhere that can’t be helped and leaves the bathroom floor very slick. There was also not enough room for any toiletries and I had to leave them on desk outside of bathroom. There is no food here. Hermitage up the hill was only $10 more per night and I went there for a couple meals. Looked to be a much nicer, updated place."
