"Ashland has great dining, cute shops, and live theater. The hotel is located right in the middle of everything. We never needed the car. The hotel is quaint and sweet, and very clean. But the room was too small. Hard to find place to put our stuff. The staff and service got the job done but were not super friendly. "

"I love to stay at the hotel every time I travel between Seattle and LA. The staff is very pleasant and helpful (in fact, I turned to my daughter as told her I felt I was in Canada everyone was so nice). An extra plus that others may not find very exciting, but there were three different coffee mug sizes to chose from at breakfast. I loved that minor touch. Will continue to come here and future trips."

"Our room was in the Lodge on the 2nd floor. Very tiny room right next to the kitchen exhaust. At 1:20 a.m. the fire alarm went off. It was attached to the ceiling so we could not turn it off. There was no one else in the lodge. We opened all the windows and turned on the fan in the room and it finally went out. I reported this to the management but we received no discount/compensation. We also ate dinner here; $45 each for a very small piece of sabelfish and grilled cabbage and small salad....

"Our non-smoking room was in need of repair with peeling paints/molded bathroom. Both queen beds had strong smoking odor. 3 out of 4 times that we came out of the room, we ran into smokers congregating in the parking lot a few feet from our door."
